If they know your fuddy ass is reloading a revolver? Totally. Plus

>You will always have perfect cover in which to reload.
>>
>>29359807
> 9mm

I see nothing wrong with that, or do you know something every law enforcement agency and military force in the world doesn't, because they seem to think 9mm is perfectly suitable for all types of combat.

Or are you one of those kind of posters that think anything under a .45 isn't enough to kill?

Pro-tip: To this day, the SEALS and the SAS still use .22 pistols.

> 6 rounds

Again, nothing wrong. 1 shot is more than enough to stop someone, and will surely send them into shock. In fact I wonder if the high rates of cops killing people in altercations by overshooting them has anything thing to do with the fact that they are issued pistols with such high ammo capacity.
>>
>>29359873

Lay off the video-games son, people you are shooting at are most likely also running for cover or fumbling with their own weapon
>>
>>29359911
>one shot
>more than enough

It takes 2.45 shots of 9mm on average to stop someone.

Only 34% of people hit by 9mm stop after one shot.

Mind you, this isn't much better with any other handgun caliber, so the solution is to carry many rounds of 9mm.

Have you ever been in a combat situation?

If you shoot at someone, they won't go Hollywood Operator at you and yell "SUPRESSIVE FIRE" while their buddy flanks around. They'll most likely duck for cover and stay there because there is someone shooting at them. Or do you seriously think they will go "Hey, he fired 6 shots, let's go for it" instead of "OH SHIT SON THAT GUY HAS A GUN" ?

And it doesn't take more than 2-3 secs to reload a revolver if you bothered to practice.

Besides, if you are ever in a situation where you are fighting people that happen to be highly trained in armed combat, than you are already fucked, no matter what gun you have.
>>
>>29360033

I'd love to see you reload a revolver under stress in 2-3 seconds.
>>
>>29359991
>Muh shot placement

Yes, because every firefight is going to be like standing on the 10 yard range where you get a nice, long breath before gently squeezing your trigger as your sights are perfectly aligned.

Why not use a single shot .22 if you're that good?

>>29359929
Not like FBI agents with revolvers ever got their shit kicked in because a guy with a mini-14 rushed them while they were fucking with their peashooters.

Certainly not like one of them got a hole blown in his neck while he was reloading after shooting at a man 6 times at less than 5 yards and only succeeding at wounding him with two shots to the head.
>>
>>29359969
And you know that because you have shot plenty of people and done the math. Got it.

And also because the instictive reaction to getting shot at is to keep charging at the guy shooting you.

And I still don't see the logic that argues agaisnt a 6-shooter. You need 2.45 shots, great, thank god your weapon has 6. Or do you trully expect to get in a fight with 6 separate assailants and get the better of it?

Wtf are you talking about? You know nothing about gun fights. Obviously a gun fight only uses 1 or 2 rounds, and because the fastest guy in the world can reload a revolver faster than the slowest guy in the world can reload an automatic, all I need is a break barrel derringer. If 2 rounds of .357 Magnum +P can't stop a guy (and bad guys only ever attack alone) then I'm a terrible shot. Which I'm not. Because I know about gun fighting.

"As Platt climbed out of the passenger side car window, one of Dove's 9 mm rounds hit his right upper arm and went on to penetrate his chest, stopping an inch away from his heart. The autopsy found Platt’s right lung had collapsed and his chest cavity contained 1.3 liters of blood, suggesting damage to the main blood vessels of the right lung. Of his many gunshot wounds, this first was the primary injury responsible for Platt’s eventual death."

He went on to endure over a half dozen more hits and killed two FBI agents before succumbing to internal bleeding.

There 's a reason it's "Two in the chest, one in the head." and not "Shoot once, he's probably dead."

Allow me to play doubles advocate here
For all intensive purposes I think you are ALL wrong.

In an age where false morals are a diamond dozen, true virtues are a blessing in the skies. We often put our false morality on a petal stool like a bunch of pre-Madonnas, but you all seem to be taking something very valuable for granite. So I ask of you to mustard up all the strength you can because it is a doggy dog world out there. Although there is some merit to what you are saying it seems like you have a huge ship on your shoulder. In your argument you seem to throw everything in but the kids Nsync, and even though you are having a feel day with this I am here to bring you back into reality. I have a sick sense when it comes to these types of things. It is almost spooky, because I cannot turn a blonde eye to these glaring flaws in your rhetoric. I have zero taller ants when it comes to people spouting out hate in the name of moral righteousness. You just need to remember what comes around is all around, and when supply and command fails you will be the first to go.

Make my words, when you get down to brass stacks it doesn't take rocket appliances to get two birds stoned at once. It's clear who makes the pants in this relationship, and sometimes you just have to swallow your prize and accept the facts. You might have to come to this conclusion through denial and error but I swear on my mother's mating name that when you put the petal to the medal you will pass with flying carpets like it's a peach of cake.

I'm assuming its a revolver because it leaves an even small print due to it being somewhat thinner and 9mm because you don't want to make big holes in an aircraft or overpenetrate and hit the pilot or something. Side rail is probably for laser attachment for quick draw shooting without having to aim down the sights or some tacticool thing

>>

>aircraft skin

Thin enough to puncture with a 9mm round. So what? The equivalent 'leakage area' of all the bad door seals and other causes is about the size of a basketball in most aircraft. Engine bleed air (or electric axial compressors in the case of a 787) are sufficient to provide make up air for a few extra bullet holes.
>>
>>29365714
>small print due to it being somewhat thinner

Thinner than a small 9mm semi-auto? Not with that cylinder sticking out.

>Side rail is probably for laser attachment

So much for concealed carry. You can put a rail on top of a gun and argue that, with small optics, lasers, lights, etc. it doesn't increase the thickness and printing. But wave that goodbye with this thing.

What market does a 9mm wheel gun fill that a 9mm semi-auto or .38 revolver, with decades of experience and refinement, don't fill?

Do you people seriously think aircraft and aero-space engineers make planes out of fragile materials? Seriously?

You people need to take the short bus to school or something.
>>
>>29367320
Not the guy you we're talking to but something like the xc1 or the little viridians would fit there with minimal increase in size because it would be nearly flush with the cylinder.why you would bother mention putting on the top idk considering if that were the goal they could have built it like a mini TRR8. As for 9mm revolvers, the benefit there getting adequate velocity in a more effecient space, so you can make a smaller lighter revolver. Using a revolver over an auto is still mostly a matter or preference though.

Idk wtf they were trying to do with thing though. If the name is to be believed im assuming its supposed to be something of a pocket gun or sorts do to the shape, unless they watched blade too many times and think it would make a good club . They could be worried about contact shots, thus the revolver. Plus it's Europe, so revolver. Until the release official statements who fucking knows what they we're thinking

>Do you people seriously think aircraft and aero-space engineers make planes out of fragile materials? Seriously?

"Fragile", no.
"Easily punctured by a bullet",yes.

"Do you seriously think you can gauge an alloy's strength on based on the first layer of the outside shell?"
I'm not quite sure what you're saying, but in shell type applications, the skin actually plays a major role in load-bearing. It's less true for wings, where the bending load is supported by the spars, but in the fuselage (essentially a pressure vessel), the skin is crucially important. Especially since composite materials now allow fuselages to be made using a monocoque architecture instead of a stressed skin method.

>Pro-tip: To this day, the SEALS and the SAS still use .22 pistols.

This reminds me of:
>"What special forces like most is a nice wide non-slip grip, and these had that! We didnt care too much about the blade as long as it was over 4 inches long an inch wide at least, and thick enough up the tang not to snap off when cranked about inside a human body. You could soak this grip in water or blood and still keep a good working grip on it."
>"We hated the Sykes-Fairbairn as the blade tips snapped off in bone and the grip was designed by a surgeon who thought he was doing brain surgery. We had to tape the grips but would mostly use “throwaways” (blades cut from plate steel with the grips taped) as they could be left behind without issue loss, and you could carry several on your webbing."

>Robert Loki Thornton, Former SAS regiment NCO and Special Force consultant

No idea if this is credible but it sure would follow a "whatever works" principle of some kind.

I actually read about the SEALs using .22 (I own a Ruger MK.II and everyone kept telling me the SEALS loved those things) and even asked one who was doing one of those anti-suicide events.

Their logic is that the M4 or whatever primary they are carrying is their go to gun in all cases. If they need to get their secondary out, it's because they don't have time to reload or if their buddy can't cover for some reason, and if they don't get time to reload, it means the opponent is close, close enough for an accurate 2-3-shot to the dome, which will drop anything, in which case it's best to pick the .22 and be able to carry extra ammo than any other handgun and limit the ammo.

I know the SAS used .22 as their go to gun after WWII and into the Cold War, but I don't know if they still use it today.

>best to pick the .22 and be able to carry extra ammo than any other handgun and limit the ammo.

Well that's...interesting thinking. I wonder if they mean primary ammo or.22 ammo. I mean rifle is one think but 2 10rd mkII take up about as much space as 2 single stacks but for the weight of the average mkII or standard idk man.Guess they would have over a PMR or Five-seveN.

Hell if I we're ruger at the time I would have been developing a doublestack .25 or .32acp. Here you go boys, mag dump away

weird because you literally never see or hear of seals ever using them, no photos, no books, nothing

The gun was designed by Germans, so it's totally possible that the people who designed it have no experience carrying a gun on a regular basis.

The extractor system is neat, interesting way to get rimless cartridges into a revolver without clips.

FFDO reporting. Don't get it really. They make us lock our shit in a locked gun case within a locked flight bag/catalog case -- as long as TSA is trying to destroy the program, there's no benefit to a small concealable gun and I use a P226.

.22 is usually used by military people because of its potential for suppression imo.

It's not like the photos we get to see of them are staged for propaganda or simply looking good or something.

Wait.
