We could let some propellant gasses out of the rear of the gun at the moment of firing like in recoilless rifles, except that would present a danger to the dude firing it because it isn't a rocket launcher that you sling over your shoulder, so clearly the solution to that is we need to develop suits of powered armor based around either hydraulic or pneumatic air muscles so we can allow everyone to use recoilless miniguns.

I just realized I misread the OP
I drew this prototype with reducing population in mind
I've always had the idea of putting a bunch of horizontal tubes in a stock with ball bearings in them. As the rifle stock goes back, the balls stay in place due to inertia, then hit the end of the tube and absorb part of the impact.
