Generally speaking, I do agree that people who say the STG-44 is a great weapon are stormfags, but the weapon is certainly significant from a design standpoint. It influenced the first generation of modern assault rifles, which in turn changed the entire paradigm of squad-based infantry tactics. While it is not a particularly great gun, the STG-44 is an important piece of history and it saddens me to see them destroyed.

It looks nothing like an m1 garand including its trigger. It has a similar layout of the m1 trigger but is dementionaly different why do motherfuckers that know nothing about either rifle always bring that up?

My coworker asked me what was wrong, because the whole filename didn't fit on my phone screen. So when I turned the screen sideways and saw "awaiting destruction" I was unable to contain myself and went "NNNO!"
Not a stormfag, but my relatives all served on the german side of WWII, and it brought up painful thoughts of losing all my family memorabilia, medals and service weapons due to an idiotic drug addicted uncle.

Dude, I studied history in college, and travelled to Germany and France while writing my thesis on the second world war. Believe me I do have a deep appreciation of Germanic military prowess. And thats my problem. The people now residing in Germany, who pretty much arent German, threw their culture and history into the trash. Read just one paragraph about who and what Angela Merkel actually is to see what I mean. Read up on German gun laws, or the state of their military, or their view on cultural holidays, or anything about their nation and what makes it a nation. Germany has been taking a 70 year dump on their society and praising the smell.
