Hey /k/ whats a good magnifying optic for an AR for <500$? something low power (2-4x), wont rattle apart, similar to an acog or an elcan spectre in length, i really dont want one of those 8 inch tube scope. thoughts?
you mean like this on the back here?

This is my fetish

no not really looking for the eotech/2x combo. and certainly not pic related (what i meant by tube scope). just looking for a 4x optic with similar profile to an acog, elcan, you know?

>lucid p7
noted, looks like a good option

pretty sure that's a thermal scope with digital magnifier and intensifier.

makes me feel better about the ones I make then
>>29349712
Oh, it's intensifying something alright

i prefer ATN. works better with the helmet i wear and doesn't fuck with my eye relief (i'm picky).
Primary arms, vortex, and Burris all make "prism" scopes, which are what an acog is. Short, compact fixed power goodness.
PA 2.5x or 5x, Burris 332 or 5somethingsomething, and vortex spitfire

cool thanks for the info, also general optics thread

i've been debating on getting a meprolight RDS red dot with a PA 3x magnifier. i'm just not sure how the glass is on both, and if the halo is massive.

im not sure, i saw that RDS a few days ago and considered it, might be good idk about magnifying it.
Anyone used a eclan os4x? I like acogs and all, but adjustable brightness and a tad more eye relief would be nice. Would you say it's at least half an inch longer? I could live with 2 inches, but 1.5 sucks.

oh my god who pays 3 grand for a scope outside of a high end competition for an ar15?
