It needs to be level with your head, not tilted. Also it needs to be lower on your head so that the ear protection actually extends low enough to provide some protection over your ears. You can do this by adjusting the straps and repositioning or taking out the pads inside. If you absolutely can't get it to sit low enough, try taking out some of the pads. A good gauge if its low enough is the helmet is level and not tilted front to back or side to side and the front of the helmet comes down just about to your eyebrows, enough room to wear eye pro. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the effort. I'm pretty well versed in gear, and this is a "for fun" loadout as an alternate to my others.
I won't be religiously following it, but I like the concept of how everything is laid out. I just really like what things are carried and how they are split between the vest, armor, waterpack, first line, and aux stuff like the knife.
I for example am currently too poor for NODs, so those are out, and I hate kneepads, so those are out. My radio is smaller than a Harris, so I think I can stick it in the vest.

With what you say on this image, what do you think of warrior assault systems dcs plate carrier? $207 for base model, or a little over $300 for one that comes with five pouches for mags oriented towards specific rifles and two medium sized pouches. Also ntoa certified and approved and nir compliant from what I can tell. Not flashy, good price point, doors what it's intended to do.

Only civvie bag I've got aside from a redneck ass hunting pack in Realtree (R) camo and tan. Powerpack (TM) bag that I bought around 3 years ago, would fit an SBR broken down pretty well, plus it's got a portable battery pack for charging my phone so I can get them upvotes and likes on muh social media. Fairly spacious with 6 dedicated pockets. Opinions?

I think anyone collecting gear with the possible implications of maybe needing it one day needs to also concentrate on keeping in shape/weight lifting.
