Alright /k/ so have a weird hobby,
I like making functioning, movie/videogame firearms in real life.
For the past year or so I've been really into fallout, so far I've gotten wood grips for my M16-A1 for the NCR service rifle, i've restored my grandmother's .32 top break revolver. I've been looking for a Browning HP Renaissance to make Maria.
But my latest project is the survivalist rifle, i've always wanted a .50 beowulf or a .458 socom anyway, why not do it fallout themed?
I've already gotten the grips, a good lower and now all I need is a relatively long, classic (as in top handle and classic m16 forward sight) upper. Anyone know where I can find one? Money isn't that big of a deal.

As for your question though, I'm assuming by bolter this is going to be some form of handgun-esque design?
I'd take note of what other high powered autoloading pistols have done (although in this ballpark, there's really only the Desert Eagle to draw from isn't there). Some sort of gas operated system may be the winner here, since blowback is right out and I'm not sure even short recoil will work.

No, but if your gunsmith's computer crashes he'll probably either figure it out himself by doing research on the problem or get somebody to fix it. This is a stupid comparison to make because the internet is fucking full of information about how guns work and there is sites full of gun owners, amateur gunsmiths, and gamers who would fucking jump at the chance to provide technical advisement (for free even!) for a big-time video game like that.
Bethesda is full of stupid, lazy fuckers who are still using the same shitty, broken engine because they don't want to (or can't) figure out how to do it elsewhere. This is the same company who couldn't figure out how to put spears in two different games despite an older game on the same exact engine having them by default.
This is why Fallout: New Vegas was such a better game than Bethesda's in-house Fallouts and will likely remain that way; they inadvertently showed how terrible Bethesda is at making Bethesda games and we'll never see another one like it.

Ultimately, titanium is useful only when its light weight and corrosion resistance are necessary. While the corrosion resistance would be nice, there are ways to have steel resist it as well and it's ultimately superior for the application of a firearm.

It's one of the random legendary bonuses. Others include unlimited magazines, exploding bullets, poison/bleed effects, freezing, etc.

OP i looked into this a while ago and heres the conclusions I came to
1. Alexander arms doesnt care about you or your dollars, they wont sell you just a barrel and they wont put an A1/A2 Sight on the front
2. Barrels are expensive because .50beo is held by alexander arms
3. .50 beo barrels are thicker because barrel walls. As such A1/A2 sights wont easily fit
