What gun would this be?

Also, I know he's probably got a vest underneath, but isn't this dangerous as fuck? I would have thought a police force would be more effectively kitted out than this.
>>
>What are off-duty/undercover police

It's an actual raid though, there's no need for undercover.
>>
>>29277693
There might be. Maybe they had to approach the target unnoticed so they dont run away before police get to surround them.

I'm just guessing and talking out of my ass.. I guess its from the recent shooting in belgium but I have no idea what really happened nor do I even care.

Gun looks like a G3 of some sort.
>>
Kitted out G3

painted TA55 ACOG

FAB G3 rail

Flash hider for a QD suppressor

Might have started out as G3A3ZF, as that is the ZF stock.

Should have just gone with an HK417 or something rather than this abomination. Oh well that's Belgium for you.
>>
>>29277737
If that abomination works for its intended purpose then wouldn't buying a new rifle just be waste of taxpayer money?

This. The targets might have lookouts posted in the neighborhood looking out for suspicious activity. Those snipers/marksmen have to be in position before the assault element actually arrives at the target building, so it makes sense that they would want to look inconspicuous for as long as possible.

>>29277737
I find it ironic that chocolates and frogs seem to have a lot of G3s in their police inventories.
>>
>>29277737
Or better yet, a SCAR-H.
>>
Just letting you guys know, there wasn't a special unit until half an hour had passed.
It was a routine inspection of a building that was deemed unoccupied as water and electricity was cut off. Police suspected it to have been used as a safehouse in the Paris attacks, but a sleeper cell opened fire with AKs when they started breaking open the door.
In the time it took for a special unit to arrive the suspects were able to escape and about 200 cops in daily outfits gathered. That guy on the roof is also probably the guy that took out one of the terrorists with one clean shot through his flat window.

G3K with a Brügger & Thomet rail and an MSG90 stock. ACOG TA55.

Royal Marines used to use a similar setup but with the standard G3KA4 telescoping buttstock and a 6x ACOG, before they got more L129A1 rifles

What are the worldwide standard rifles for anti terrorist police anyway?
>>

Some sort of AR variant most likely.

Is there any good footage from the raids? I'm interested to know how it went.

Well yeah, I was meaning more like what do the Americans use, the Brits use, the Germans use, etc.

Brit CT police (CTSFO) use Sigs - 516 and MCX

Germans (GSG9, BFE+ etc) are still using G36C mostly
