How does the security of the very rich work overseas? Lets say you're Carlos Slim and you're living in America then yeah your security teams can be armed but he also travels alot to various countries, how does it works when he leaves?
Does his teams get to be armed all the times? Do he gets local security teams? Traveling in private jets alows his people to bend the gun laws?

Thanks /k/.

I did security and medical support for a billionaire family. When they travelled overseas (anywhere - any continent or country) I was able to maintain a Sig P226, a Mossberg 500 and OC pepper spray. I suppose they were rich enough to bypass any legal restrictions. They went about their vacation and a dozen of us controlled the area around them.

I was the medic and medical coordinator so I rented a helicopter for emergency evac. It was properly fitted with advanced airway, cardiac and trauma supplies.

Any neato stories or pics?
>>
>>29253708
That's impressive anon. You were just told that you could carry your weapons or you went through some special procedure?
>>
For example, this man with the dog is Roman Abramovich, Russian oligarch billionaire. The others are part of his security team, he has residence in Britain and them don't seem to be carrying
>>

We all went through the same screening as the next guy. The only difference was we picked up our fully stocked bags before we left.

I have zero exciting stories. I mostly just waited around for something bad to happen. Nothing ever did.

I think my most fun was working on the U.S. / Mexico border. They bought up a lot of land. We patrolled it and liaised with the BP. We turned over many illegals. 100% of them were friendly and cooperative. We were lucky to not encounter drug smugglers.

How do you get Ito something like this?

I mean medical response for rich people.

What were your credentials? Are you similar to Castle Intl?
>>
>>29254189
>anon's first border experience
As someone who ranch hands on the border I can tell you're not full of shit.
BP are really cool and the occasional illegal are normal people and you feel bad for them.
As soon as I saw multiple guys with a pack on and hiding in brush like they expected surveillance I called the closest BP station and noped the fuck out.

In small airports you can just walk on the tarmac to the plane. I assume the airports rich people use just don't have good security because its not commercial aviation.
>>
>>29255266
>the country that made bribing your way through life world famous
>rich person's guards NOT carrying
>>
>>29253988
>Russian billionaire
>guards are still wearing track suits
Slavs gonna slav I guess.

Also I can clearly see the outline of an SMG on the back right guy.

What happens if a private security detail actually kills someone outside of their nation of citizenship? Especially if it's a large and powerful country with a strong security-state, like China?

That would be frightening, since they'd probably detain you initially, and what happens after that would be at least partly a function of public pressure/public relations.

Especially if it's a messy/complex incident and perhaps you killed a kid or something.

>>29255463
Even in major international airports, private planes and chartered planes receive almost zero scrutiny and have their own terminal and gates.
>had to take a charter for some business out of ATL
>taxi literally drove right up to the plane and I got on, no security or anything
>wasn't even official gov business or anything, I work for Moen (the toilet/faucet company)
>>
>>29255478
A couple million [local currencies] exchange hands with the local police chief and the death is touted as a suicide/accident.
>>
>>29255479
>I work for large toilet company
>toilet
>plumbing
>disposal
Yeah they didn't try real hard did they, fucking wetworks.
>>
>>29255485
kek.

No but seriously I flew from ATL to fucking Minneapolis to attend a marketing conference, and the only reason I was on a charter is the office secretary dicked up and didn't book a commercial flight in time.
>>
>>29255481
Yeah, that would probably work in some cases, but imagine it's a public event, it's on live TV, etc. Especially if national-level security agencies are already present on the scene.
>>
>>29255479
I'm military and while traveling out to some sites we'll occasionally stop at some of the "upper class" hubs for overnights if there isn't a good local air station. Private gate controlled entrances to air field, no security scans, own rental cars, etc. The one place in Minnosota we stopped actually got annoyed with us renting cars through them as we wern't the "proper" clients.
>>
>>29255496
>but imagine it's a public event, it's live on TV, etc
Then a couple more [local currencies] exchange hands with politicos on top of the police chief and voila they had permission to carry!
>Especially if national-level security agencies are already present on scene
Do you expect the private guards of some random-assed billionaire to execute a major-country national figurehead during a public event? Because that's literally never happened and literally never will happen.

I'm thinking of something like the incident with the Italian guards who shot a fisherman in Indian territorial waters after mistaking him for a pirate, and got themselves locked up in India for a while before release.

Those types of things are always possible. I would always be concerned about the state of diplomatic relations between my home country and the country in which the incident takes place.

If they are bad, it may be worth more to them (politically) to "make an example" out of you than to release you for relatively petty cash.

Straya
(InB4 hurr usual)
High end security details cant carry guns to protect civilian Vips rockstars etc, so 1 of detail carries breifcase of $5k, so rest are "armed payroll escorts" not bodyguards.
>laws are for the poor schmucks only
>>
I assume they just carry whatever because who is going to stop them?
Some random cop won't risk his career to arrest Abramovichs security guard.
And normal people have no idea about gun laws and just assume security is legally carrying.
And politicians are thugs anyway and see themselves as exempt from the law, so why cause an international incident over some stupid laws for the proles?

So yea legality in this isn't even an issue I guess, because nobody gives a shit or is dumb/ballsy enough to try.
>>
>>29255476
Yeah, but they bought nice Nike tracksuits.

It's the Armani of the track suit world.

Rich people can do anything, don't you know?
>He faceless goon number four- carry this illegal gun to protect me
>But it's illegal in this country

>Ok then!

Every fucking time i see these movies/a clip from them, I can't help but think how accurately they portrayed them in Always sunny. Even Murtaugh's head roll and half-slobber

I was a combat veteran. Served in the 75th. Add to that the fact that I was trained as a paramedic and had instructor certs. I was an easy in. However... I did make it up the ladder faster than my cohorts since one of the execs served in my exact same military unit.

I tell you what - if you are at least a paratrooper and paramedic - or if you have a 4 yr degree and are a paramedic, I will steer you toward them. They have very high standards but pay twice as much as any local police department. You could easily earn six figures after four or five years if you are dedicated.

hhc375@ gee male dot com

Please don't bother me if you don't meet the standards above.
>>
>>29257076
That is nice of you, anon.
>>
You guys are idiots.

Body guards of rich people are able to get carry permits in basically every country. Canada, UK, Aus, China, India, Botswana, whatever.

I challenge you to come up with a country where literally nobody can carry.
>>
>>29257076
Damn. Unfortunately not. Yet.

Being a ranger medic is my dream, actually. I ship out in two weeks.

Maybe further down the line I'll think about something along the lines of your career, but I'm gonna focus on passing RASP/SOCM for now.

Thanks for the advice man.
