question: is the henry survival (AR-7) a good bug out gun to have in the back of my car? im looking for a decent survival rifle but that is the best i could come up with.
>>
why not just get a fold stock?

If you go camping, you could take that rifle with you to use up less space. But for your car you can get a full-size rifle.
Adhoc - i doubt that piece of lego is precise enough.
>>

i want something that takes up as little space as possible and is hard to see/recognize as a weapon.
>>
>>29206735
as a gun its shit
as something that takes up very little space its great
the real question is do you intend to plink with it or not?
>>

>>
>>29206788
not a bad idea now that i think about it. cant you get a 410 reciever/barrel for it too?
>>
>>29206788
>why not a 10/22 breakdown?
why the hell are people calling em breakdowns
>>29206807
no you cant

>why the hell are people calling them 5.slows?

So just how bad is accuracy for this thing? Can I hit something at 100m? Or is even that a pipe dream.
>>
>>29206788

Does anyone else wish Ruger would release a 10/22 Takedown with a folding stock that could also hold the barrel?
>>
>>29206878
Unless you plan on hunting with snares, 50 yards is about as well as I've ever seen one shoot.
>>
>>29206878
you can the gun itself is mechanically accurate

its just that the stock sights are garbage and the second you unscrew the barrel the point of impact will shift

You asked this yesterday. Just get a fucking AR.
>>
>>29206735
You'd be better off with a Ruger 96/44 or fuddy fuddy.

Get a Kel-Tec sub 2000. I know, everyone says Kel-Tec sucks or whatever, but the sub 2000 (in my experience, having grown up around several firearms including that one) will be better then you think. It has some weirdness (charging handle location) but I haven't found that to be a problem for me when I'm using it.

I'm actually on a lookout for a rifle that can be taken apart and stored out of sight myself. So far I'm favouring the Chiappa Little Badger. They are cheap, small and simple.

Either that or a M6 Scout but they are out of production and people want to much money for them imho.

I don't own a Sub 2000 but I borrowed one once and I have to say it has a lot going for it. It takes very little space when folded, it's 9mm it takes glock mags. What I didn't like about it is how it field strips, it has a weird thing going with how the hammer interacts with the bolt assembly and I can see how putting it back together innawoods in low light could be a real pain in the dick.

what about a folding stock m1 carbine?
