I hope you'e got some very good insoles in those, because sk8-his WILL fuck your feet up. Even the Ultracush insoles they put in them now are garbage. But it you put in some expensive insoles they're fine, i suppose, so long as you get the new version that comes with 'Duracap'.

Generally wearing some Meindl Island hiking boots. Though I also have light shoes without a hard sole, so the feet don't deteriorate in terms of muscles. Strong boots are good for hard terrain and heavy loads, but if you always wear them, your muscles don't do the work of walking and running so much, so they get weak. And from that you can get injuries very easily.
So for actual outdoor use/bad weather I go with the hiking boots, but for other activities (running, good weather) I wear the thin sole shoes. That's a good balance between natural running (over the front outside of your feet, not over the heel) and having sturdy boots to keep you safe outside.

MARILL HIKING BOOTS

I did my time. I wear them for work often. They are also comfy and warm, so sometimes I throw them on because I like the way they look and feel. Suckadick
In all seriousness OP, just some rugged sneakers. Won't look cool, won't be tactical, but they're actually the best choice. Operators seem to like New Balances.

check em
>new balances
There's a reason for this. I had a friend who went to the olympic tryouts for track/field (he was a runner)
Point is he always wore and recommended New Balances as they had some legitimate collaboration/development with olympic athletes in terms of their performance driven design(s).
Stuck with me ever since. Think of it as the American version of Slavdidas
