too expensive. could buy 3 ar15s and 3,000 rounds of training ammo for the price of a scar. not worth it.

No need to repair something that isn't broken. Take Battlefield Vegas for example. They rent out SCAR's that have been fired exclusively in full auto in excess of 100K rounds before their first bolt cracked. Meanwhile, AR's on the same firing schedule typically last between only 6-10K rounds if that.
