Help me gunbeards
I can't decide between a striker or hammer fire. Specifically I'm split between the FNS and FNX. I will be using it for duty carry in armed security. I will likely purchase one in the nest hour. What are the pros and cons of each?
So far the only reason I'm not sold on the striker is because the safety seemed a bit small and it didn't have a second strike capability. The hammer I don't like because the slide/bore axis is pretty big. Any input, even if you call me a retard, is appreciated.

Something about DAO irks me. Not something I would buy personally; I would much rather have a striker fired gun. I personally would take a SAO with manual safety over all but that's just me.

For some reason I don't like single action... At least on my Lionheart that I have the most training with. I like double action, but not single. My ideal would be a double action that switches over to a half sigle action like the weight of a striker trigger.

I had the fns-9 as my first gun. I liked it. You can get them with or without manual safeties, mine had one and it was always easy for me to flick it off with the side of my thumb knuckle. Also points very very well.

I'm not sure I understand why you want a worse trigger in single-action mode, but why not consider a P99 AS? DA/SA striker fired. Of course, it doesn't feel like a striker trigger except for the take-up in single action, but it might be what you're looking for. Go fondle one at a fun store.
