Considering I can get mk1 or mk3 SMLEs (usually refurbished furniture tho) for around the same price as a 91/30 or m44, and half the price of Finnish, I would say that's a good bet.
.303 isn't easier to find, but I don't think it's dried up as bad as the mosin surplus ammo.

Basically every single new production rifle these days is better in accuracy, ease of use, customization and parts availability. Also they are as cheap if not cheaper.
The Mosin supply dried up long ago. Gone are the days when you could buy a sealed crate of rifles for 900$. These days people sell used mosins in shitty condition for hundreds of dollars.
Today you can get a brand new scoped bolt actio. Rifle for the same price as a used Mosin that is missing all its kit.
The only reason to buy a Mosin these days is because you want one for the history or novelty.
