What does /k/ think about this movie? Marvel isnt good at being edgy in my opinion
>>
It's what got me into guns.
>>
>That scene where he fires 2 rounds out of his 1911 and just keeps reloading
>>
>>28881100
How fuckin old were you when this movie came out? Its from like 2004
>>
'04 one was meh, Punisher kills people, he doesn't give parking tickets.

Warzone was closer to the Punisher vibe with the gratuitous violence and actually pretty damn good gun play.
>>
>>28881109
I was like 13
>>
>>28881109
If you were 14 when that movie came out you could be 26 today. So how is that much of a stretch?
>>
>>28881115
Fuck right off you piece of shit.

The 2004 Punisher had vigilante noir, with the newest one it's JUST an action movie.

The first one even had legit espionage and intelligence gathering, planning and execution.

Seriously, fuck you.
>>
Dolph Lundgren Punisher movie FTW.

I mean ninjas versus guns...come on /k...
>>
>>28881126
>>28881130
I forgot about that one, I referenced the 2004 movie as the first, my mistake.
>>
>>28881126
Thomas Jane Punisher movie was shit. The comic book Punisher doesn't make nice with his neighbors.
>>
>>28881126

Read the source material. It was meh pussyfart.
>>
>>28881115
This.

Thomas Jayne may have done a great job playing the character, The Punisher, but the overall movie was fucking bullshit in its depiction of the character. The 80's movie with Dolph was truer to the subject material.
>>
>>28881118
>>28881121
Fuck i hate getting older
>>
>>28881140
>God forbid there be characterization, then it might actually make me have feelings.

You're a faggot.
>>
>>28881107
Those 1911's are fuckin sweet i cant lie
>>
>>28881158

>muh sandy vagina

The only feeling I need to get from a Punisher story is the vicarious satisfaction of punishing the guilty.

Remember kids...it's not about justice...it's about PUNISHMENT.

If I want feels I'll watch Saving Private Ryan. I swear I can't even get through the beginning where the old man is walking through the graveyard without losing it.
>>
>>28881158
>characterization
>Things that aren't what the character would actually do

People like you are why the Kickass movies sucked.
>>
Oh god what have i started
>>
Ray Stevenson had the look, the perfect look as the Punisher, and it stayed true to the comic book. But his use of John Woo shooing special effects like the beginning of the 2008 movies almost made me walk out of the theater. Who the fuck hangs upside down from a chandelier duel wielding MP5's? That director is a fucking joke and the special effects made that movie unwatchable.

Thomas Jayne is another one who has that father figure look and can also pull off a great Punisher. But in that movie they utterly destroyed the comic book's origin story. But I still say the fight between the Russian and The Punisher was a classic brawl and very well done.

Dolph Lundgren I felt was the least like the punsiher. However once again they fucked the origin story. And his costume was nothing like the comic book and all the knife throwing was Bullshit too.

Long story short, none of them are close. Which saddens me /k/.
>>
>>28881223
I was surprised Tom Jane dicksucking wasnt the first post.
>>
>>28881252
Yeah, Hollywood overthinks the Punisher. That's why they cant ever get it right. I want to see Avi Arad make a Punisher flick. He nailed the "laundry day" short and his Dredd movie was perfect. It was like "okay this is a tuesday in the life of Judge Dredd".
>>
>>28881252
>Who the fuck hangs upside down from a chandelier duel wielding MP5's?

I could totally see Micro talking Frank into some crazy bullshit like that in order to squeeze an extra 12% effectiveness into his kill count.

if only .
>>
I'm pumped to see Jon Bernthal play Frank this season of Daredevil.
>>
>>28881190
Agreed.

This movie got me into the character. Yeah, the comics are quite different, but I view this film as a modern western. People today can't sit through 5 fucking minutes without getting bored if there's no action.

Tl;dr: 2004 version had better story. Warzone had better action.
>>
>>28881098
It's what got me into killing people. I mean guns.

I think he'd be pretty good since he plays a good psychopath.

Good I think. He's actually a pretty flexible actor. He does look a little small though.
>>
>>28881140

Don't read the run with the Mexican cartels then. He sits in a diner, chats, and even smilesa couple of times.
>>
>>28881666

Can't unsee him as Shane.
>>
>>28881722
They gonna portray him as an evil gun nut in DD.
>>
>>28881578
>lose points for killing criminal scum after/during interrogation
>losing points when you electroplated that chop shop thug's head

Other then that abortion of a game mechanic in a fucking punisher game yeah that game was magnificent
>>
>>28881140
Comic Punisher is all about fucking shit up, but I liked that part in the movie. He made friends, well, he'd give them a greeting look if he passed them in the hall and look where it got him? The bad guys used them as leverage and almost killed him.
>>
>>28881729
Well that's just fucking great....
>>
>>28881729

Well, I mean, technically, he is a little nuts in the comics. There's a reason he gets arrested if the Avengers see him.
>>
>>28881710
I was thinking the same thing. But that can be eclipsed by other good qualities.
>>
>>28881736
Agreed. That was the only thing I didn't like and it always threw me off.

You other brothers can't deny.

Exactly.

I'm a little tired of seeing all these tv shows and movies that have clearly trained at Front Sight. I mean it's great that they have them training at all and looking realistic.

But I'd like to see more variety than the weaver technique I see everywhere else.

Fucken weavel stance,

Dat M4

He is pretty low budget too, which I like.

Micro and Jigsaw were both spot on. And I did like his line about being a Jihads blogger to score some rocket launchers

>>28881423
> Jack Danial burns like gasoline

They were close, so close.
>>
>>28881746
But they want to portray him as a maniac without a stick moral code.
>>
>>28882082
>Micro and Jigsaw were both spot on.

God, jigsaw was so badly over acted, it was painful to watch a talented actor ham it up so badly.
>>
>>28882114
Introducing his autistic brother "loony-bin" Jim. was the killer.
>>
>>28882102
That's fucking dumb. Hell, I'm still mad they're not throwing the best scene from the Civil War comic into the movie where Cap beats him up for killing the two guys. Hell, I'm pissed off that it's like 4 v 4 in that movie.
>>
>>28882130
That was the fucking worst part of Warzone. I cringed everytime he said something
>>
>>28882132
I watched Arrow and Flash and stopped. Lets face it /co//k/. No matter what they do they will destroy our hero with shit dialog, shit effects, and shit plots.
>>
considering budget, I was entertained at least.

>>28881721
You talking about the newest series? It's boss. Punisher in an OD PC with a skull on it wielding a Noveske and wearing a hood. Same guys who did The Activity. They actually know how guns work.

>>28881722
This. Not saying it has to be the same feel as the 2004 version, but Thomas Jane IS the Punisher. Particularly after Dirty Laundry.

>>28884436
You do know that Arrow and Flash are WB series based on DC characters and have nothing at all to do with Netflix's Marvel series? I mean I know I'll be disappointed but still.

Here's hoping that the series flops and they let Thomas Jane be the Punisher again. Even if it was old school fighting Spider-Man I'd take it. And all the Spider-Man movies were shit.
>>
>>28885138
Spider Man 3 was the biggest disappointment for me.

>introduce based Venom
>expecting kickass doppelganger fight
>lol nope
>>
>>28885138
I'm just saying as a comic book stand point.
