Talk me out of dropping $160 on this, please.
>>
>>28879328
that looks really fucking stupid.
>>
>>28879328
Kunai are agricultural tools. They were only used as weapons because that's what peasants had on hand. Buying one as a weapon, especially spending so much on it, is stupid.
>>
>>28879328
Faggot you could just get a cheaper letter opener for half the price and still afford that pinstripe fedora you've been eyeing
>>
>>28879328
>Talk me out of
Try to talk me into it?
If you think that's cool and practical then you're to far gone to save.
>>
>>28879345
give me some suggestions
>>
>>28879346
do you own guns? when have you ever used your cc? yeah that must be really practical. i just want to strap it to my ankle who gives a fucking about practicality
>>
>>28879328

That looks hella dumb, like for real.
>>
>>28879357
Gladly
>>
>>28879344
what would you recommend as a boot knife then?
>>
>>28879373
nigga
>>
>>28879375
I got a cheap ass stiletto blade from amazon and it works well. It's sturdy and stabby enough
>>
>>28879371
why does it look dumb? it has amazing grip and small enough to use while maintaining your primary
>>
>>28879385
which one?

Benchmade's version is cheaper.
>>
>>28879328
How do they expect you to hold this anyways?
>>

are you dumb? what's so hard to figure out?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdJ8KsD93AQ
>>
>>28879675
both versions are shit

if you want a dagger, buy a real dagger not some gay ass tacticool bs
>>
>>28879328

Benchmade makes one for a fraction of the price.

Spartan quality is nice, but their prices are through the roof.

And there is absolutely no reason to make this in s35vn when it has no edge.
>>
>>28879603
That actually looks pretty nice. You could probably use the pommel-thing to dig. I like it.
>>
>>28879762
it's not tacticool bullshit, the design actually has a purpose, one reason mentioned is because when sheathed it doesn't resemble a knife, when soldiers got into hand to hand fights with the enemy, the enemy would recognize the knife on them and reached for it.

also another point for the design is so you can still have it in hand and use your handgun/ rifle without having to re sheath it
>>
>>28879675
All the cops in my city carry them.
>>
>>28879328
you are actually autistic for even considering this

but anons who drop 3 and a half bills on this box cutter aren't autistic?
>>
>>28879860
no. they're atleast useful quality knives, even if they're overpriced.
>>
>>28879866
so a knife that's used for personal defense isnt considered useful? only ones that are used to open boxes?
>>
>>28879922
>person defense
>knife
the only winner in a knife fight is the knife. you're as autistic as Will Kieth.
>>
>>28879931
>what is grappling
I'm not a guy who thinks knife fighting is a great idea, but that's not the intent behind a SOCP dagger. The idea is that you have an easily concealed knife that you can easily draw if you start grappling.

It's not designed for making wild lunges, or giant slashing motions. It's for once you've already started grappling that you can draw it and stab the other guy. Which is a huge advantage in a fist fight.

Is it a pretty limited niche? Yeah it is. Unless you're an operator worried about clearing rooms you probably really don't need one. But since when has "need" ever been applicable on /k/?
>>
>>28880003
hey, if you want to be a fucking retard and buy a completely useless $160 knife, go for it. no one's stopping you. you can play spartan and pretend you're a badass warrior to your friends.
>>
OP here

What about the cold steel tac 2 instead?
>>
>>28880014
what do you suppose people defend themselves with if they have no handgun on them?

>completely useless
Read above. It's very useful for grappling. Just because you would never use it doesn't mean it's useless.

Also I'm not OP planning on buying one you cock munching retard. I've just actually done some of the SOCP program so I know the theory behind it. Don't get all huffy because somebody called you out on your stupidity.
>>
>>28880046
One assumes he just offers to suck their dick.
>>

their other handgun they carry where they would otherwise carry a retarded knife useful in one very specific situation they'll never be in.

How about getting something like a traditional Mora.

Sure they are not tacticool but they are made for actual use, are sharp and are very easy to sharpen.

They are also lethal as fuck, Gypsies and alcoholics have like 100 year tradition of killing each other with Mora knives here.

technically if it has a use, it's not useless. it's just useless for anon that's never going to use it.

what's your purpose for owning the knife? if you want a combar knife, get something that would also double as a usable survival knife like a bk7 or kabar brand kabar.

If youre gonna go full autismo just buy a benchmade socp and be done with the issue

You emasculated faggots sound like gun grabbers. It's like none of you understand the concept of a sidearm.

Reading comprehension and image association is not your forte friend.
>>
>>28880253
I understand the concept of a sidearm but i dont see a time in current rule of law scenario where id need one. If i thought i would id have a pocket derringer. If its not rule of law my primary would be a rifle, secondary a pistol, and tertiary a utility knife that can be used for combat

Overpriced knife in general, and fucking shit as a throwing knife. Unless you're some substinence farmer in buttfuck nowhere, you're wasting your money. That being said it's YOUR money.
>>
>>28880311

>Unless you're some substinence farmer in buttfuck nowhere

I'm pretty sure those guys are actually buying tools that are proven to work like the Mora mentioned earlier in this thread.
>>
>>28880365
Agreed. Nobody buys that shit to use. Stuff like OP's pic are purely for people who can't figure out how to spend their extra cash.

I used to carry a knife in my boot. It's good for concealment, bad for everything else.

I wouldn't recommend boot carry as a general rule.
>>
>>28880049
>>28880003
Ok, this idea of an easily drawn grappling dagger actually does make sense, (and it probably weighs next to nothing so whatever) but why do these pieces of steel in a kydex sheath cost fucking 100 or 150 dollars? You could stamp these out of cheap carbon steel and they would work just as well.
>>
>>28882226
>why do these pieces of steel in a kydex sheath cost fucking 100 or 150 dollars?

Because they're designed from the ground up to be sold to keyboard oper8rs with more money than sense.
>>
>>28879777
>no reason to make this in s35vn when it has no edge

This, boot knives, daggers and other killing knives can be made out of anything really because they are more for emergency circumstances than utility so edge holding doesn't matter much

>>28880015
Its nice but you should just get an inexpensive knife, you should think of a hold out knife as disposable, those cheap boot knives you see marketed under half dozen names like s&w are great little stickers for the price, the Schrade schf20 is aslo great for the price and has a pretty good sheat

The crkt sting is one of the better small daggers, its not too expensive but its very strong and can actually cut fairly well, if you want to go very small and light there are some neck knives that would work

The retention ring is a cool concept, if you like that the crkt bear claw is a little monster and its more useful than daggers for utility too
>>
>>28879328
>>28879675
>Hundred dollar letter openers

My god you really can sell a person anything if you paint it black and call it tactical
>>
>>28882669
You also have to associate it with spec ops or warriors

>spartan, samurai, navy seals
>>
>>28880253
He wants to be talked out of it faggot, and not needing it is pretty much the reason not to buy it. It has (virtually) no purpose. If he wants to buy it cause he thinks it looks cool and wants to swing it around while screaming Naruto lines in front of his mirror more power to him, but thats his business and no one here would be able to convince him otherwise.

Do it!

Seriously OP if you are only going to open boxes and letters with it go with the tool for the job. Seriously like $5 any hardware store even supermarkets sometimes sell them.
