>>
>>28630560
Is the wiggle actually anything to be concerned with? /k/ seems to throw a fit over it. Just looks like loose tolerances.
>>
The only reason I'd get a Vector is if somebody made a pull/release trigger like the BFS for it.

Or if I wanted a .45 ACP carbine, which I don't. Or a 10mm carbine. Or a .40S&W carbine. Or a .357 SIG carbine.
>>
>>28630576
Apparently the gun is extremely difficult to control in full auto and tends to cause even experienced shooters to be very inaccurate while using it. The wiggle you're seeing is likely a manifestation of that difficulty to control.

In semi-auto, I've heard it's not as noticeable.

Have you ever seen any other gun in high speed? All of them wiggle like that.

I was looking into 10mm carbines. Are there any others on the market?
>>
>>28630545
I do not see the appeal. The Vector's whole thing is the recoil dampening system, which it doesn't seem like you're taking advantage of when the gun is semi-auto. It also seems like you'd also have to spend the time and money to SBR it to make it worthwhile. If I were to do all that I'd rather just go with a PS90 or SBR an AR.
>>

My buddy's dad bought one when they were poppin hot. I would say it was actually a lot of fun, it was a soft shooter and generally felt like a .22. It was very easy to run it fairly hard, it swings and points very well.

10mm AR Uppers are a thing.

Also, do you really think that 30 rounds of 65 grain 5.56 JST would not stop a bear? Bears are tough beans and all, but that is a lot of lead with a lot of bear to expand/tumble (if using M855) around in.
>>
>>28631130
I've never gone after grizzlebees, but I'd assume any shot in quantities of thirty would probably disuade a bear.

Bruh, you have no idea how penetration works. If having a wider surface area was important for penetration, then why do tanks shoot slim little rods of DU at ridiculous speeds to penetrate things?

he's right though, because the sharp shoulder of a wide meplat projectile results in uniform supercavitation and thus prevents tumbling, which in turn would greatly reduce penetration.

Buy it in any of the above calibers, then down the road all you have to do is swap out 3 pins and the lower to make it another caliber. It's a fun little gun to shoot.

Might sound like a stupid question, but one of these with the 16 barrel and a stock would be classified as a rifle right? Meaning if I walk into my FFL I'm purchasing under the states rifles requirements, not pistol correct?
>>
>>28632760
>tfw Canadian poorfag
Probably not, shit would probably be like $3000 around here.
>>
>>28633571
Yup. You'd still be under the usual requirements for buying pistol ammo if you tried to buy ammo for it in a store, though.

Unrelated note, where has all the damn .357sig gone?
>>
>>28630591
It's recoil pattern is different than usual. Because the bolt goes down into that big block behind the magwell, the force is mostly up-down instead of forward-back. Because of this, new users find it weird, but once you've figured it out, most reports I've seen say it's actually easier to control.
>>
.22 Vector when?
>>
>>28631951
I rented that one, I'm going to buy one of the folding stock models
>>
>>28633642
Not ammo, the gun itself.
>>
>>28630576
it's a polymer jacket over a steel frame. the stock has a single hinge pin. so the stock wobbles, and the polymer jacket moves as well, however the frames do not move in relationship to each other

the very long barrel doesn't help at all - it is meant to only be 5" inch, not 16".
>>
>>28631842
yeah... the "lower" is the receiver unfortunately. look where your serial number is. you would need to transfer an entirely new firearm.
>>
>>28630545
Call me when it's in a proper caliber.

>>28630671
you can have a 10mm MP5 built
>>
>>28631994
Its hard to control because of its full retard fire rate. It shoots at 1100-1200 rpm. The sweet spot is about 700 to 800 according to the wizards of smart on the internet. I'm not sure they can make the gun shoot any slower but if they could they need to.
>>
>>28634729
Nah, its tricky to get accustomed to its impulse. Control is the whole point of the gun
>>
>>28635342
If control is the whole point of the gun then slow down the cyclic rate. 1200 rpm is almost useless.
