Why does it seem that Shot Show is full of products that we'll never see in the wild? It's like this show has become a place to show off the really cool shit you'll never make. It's as bad as concept cars at car shows. Everyone want it, but, the makers won't be selling it.
Uncertainty due to the political situation in the USA and a highly volatile civilian marketplace.
Are you that surprised? I think it's more for the investors anyways.
We all know that no matter how much cool shit is shown by the companies, everything they will release is just going to be another AR15.

Fucking kids are playing first person shooters all the time and getting interested in real guns.
The only time you end up with a kid who goes shooting and cries (like that kid that went with a friend of the family to shoot an AR and cried about it), is when the expectation of danger and stress is put on them by the parent frontloading it.
I am willing to bet money that kids mom, and any kid that is deathly afraid of casual range shooting, is told by their parents beforehand how much danger they are in while shooting and how terrible it is if they like it.

Fiesta ST is $20k and beats out anything at its price-point. It is one of the most fun cars to drive on the US market currently. The Focus ST is similar, has a bit more power overall but has competition with the VAG Golf GTI and TotallyNotVaporware new Mazdaspeed 3. The Ecoboost Mustang beats out a lot of competition that cost significantly more, such as the BMW M2. While the 2016 Camaro SS is overall better after being lightened, the Mustang is cheaper, startinf around $25k.

Unless you drive an autotragic, in which you should kill yourself. The FiST and FoST are manual-only, and don't have transmission issues. They had clutch issues early on, but they were very rare and have all been fixed.

have a friend who has a manual, has replaced 4 clutchs under warranty and keeps being told that it is the transmission that is fucking it up and they have no fix for it yet. He puts a lot of miles on. I don't drive new cars... Truck just under 200k miles car just over 145k miles Motorcycle 45k miles. Honestly I've had a bunch of fords in the family.

No, because it's fucking stupid. Unless you line up the reticle right at the top of the sight you can't actually see what the reticle is over and there's nothing keeping dirt from getting on the internal components and obscuring the reticle. It manages to take the worst parts of iron sights and red dot sights and combine them while adding a bit of extra shittyness on top.

They did that not long after it came out if I remember correctly, it still doesn't change how it has everything that can go wrong like a red dot and more and still requires precise alignment like regular iron sights to be able to see where you're shooting.

I'm not talking about living rurally. People just need some trees around where they live so they can have some privacy, shade, and peace of mind. I would put up with none of these things in very rare circumstances, for example if that neighborhood were on the Moon or on Mars, but on Earth, trees grow naturally and readily. This is exactly the problem I have with Star Trek. In about 1/4 episodes they discover something that should be galaxy changing and then it gets completely ignored. Like that episode they found an alien god that just wanted to live a peaceful life, then killed an unknown and very powerful alien civilization that had never been seen before (he said he killed 30 billion people). Never hear about the civilization again, never hear about that guy again.
