You could conceivably make it collapsible, if all you're trying to do is get it to fold up - but the appeal of the UC9 and FMG9 is that they're ready to go as soon as you have them open, just pull back on the charging handle and you're good to go. I don't think it's a worthwhile tradeoff to get it chambered in something bigger than 9mm.
Although I suppose your options would increase if you scale up to something the size of a briefcase.
