It was back in 2013 when they passed/removed all the gun laws. When I bought my knife, pic related above, the online store bladehq, said sorry can't ship to you because of your laws. I said look again motherfucker. They emailed back a tracking number. It's weird because people who try to order switchblades from them get a different webpage denying them when they punch in there address.

Sadly Scottish Knife regulations are in line with the rest of the UK so I'm stuck with a friction "lock" knife that I don't have as much confidence in as I should that it won't close on my fingers.
All cause decades ago some cunt of a lawer convinced a judge that a folding knife with a lock was "as dangerous" as a fixed blade but a knife without a lock was fine.
At least the "exemption" rules kinda save the day for wilderness stuff. At least I hope that if a cop somehow stumbled across you out in the woods they'd accept being out there as a good reason to have a large fixed blade.
