They are standard issue in the German army and they work great. Decent grip, 100% waterproof, and your feet stay warm as fuck.

Any decent snow boots. Fuck tacticool and looks since keeping your feet warm and dry is your primary concern when innasnow.

So first of all you haven't experienced winter not like what it is going to be after a couple of weeks. Second I use those as a spring or fall boots while living in a town. Would not even consider those if I had to go out there to survive farther than the next convenience store half a mile away..
