There was some guy on the international board from Namibia that was complaining about SWAPO. He said something along the lines of how everyone had high hopes when apartheid ended, but after the colonial government was ousted, SWAPO gained a lot of votes even though they didn't know much about governing, and people still basically discriminated with apartheid because it's how they grew up. So basically nothing changed except a lot of the whites left.
