Help me pick my first rifle, /k/. Here are my criteria:
>Must be semi-auto
>Cheap and plentiful ammo larger than .223 Remington
>Available in reasonable condition (i.e. bullets come out when you pull the trigger) for $400 or less
>Spare parts must be easily available
>Slavshit acceptable but alternatives are preferred
Right now I'm leaning toward an SVT-40 but I want to know if there's a better option. Pic unrelated.

400 is very fucking cheap for anything semi-auto, so maybe get a k-31 or some other surplus bolter. Idk how much an sks goes for nowadays but I imagine theyre still cheaper than 400.

Earlier sino-soviet Type 56s are often beat to hell but well-made, unlike the later stamped Norinco garbage.
Learn how to use strippers instead of hanging shitty tapco 30rd mags that constantly jam and then blame it on the rifle. In stock configuration it's extremely reliable

Buy nugget, grind off locking lugs, screw in the top of the bolt, bungee cord to front sight from the screw. Semi auto and runs 7.62 and cheap

C9 is the pistol, ts995 is the carbine. blast to shoot, reliable, and ammo is cheap and available at your local Wally mart.
