Bullet button sucks, so I'm thinking of making my raifu featureless and getting one of those FRS-15 stocks. What does k think of said funny looking thingie?

Honestly, I think it's fucked up you're forced into that kind of thing, but I actually kind of like it. It gives it kind of a cool futuristic look.

Thanks Feinstein.
>>
>>28423500
I know this sounds silly, but I have actually thought about buying one because I would have the only one in North Dakota.

In all seriousness, their big issue is ergonomics. With a hand on the grip, the mag release can be hard to reach and the angle and length of pull is odd but not unusable.

It would look a lot less goofy if you were able to make it a thumbhole stock. Obviously, though, connecting the buffer tube and the stock would make it extremely dangerous and deadly to civilians.

I know right. You could actually hold the thing one-handed, brace the stock against your chest and spray a room. Couldn't do that with too many other non-commie designs out there.

Not that I've actually thought about doing that, but y'know.

>>
>>28425260
Automatic felony if you use mags over 10rds in a "fixed" mag lower, and using a mag magnet or other "tool" like that is still legally dubious, to date DOJ's only stance has been "no comment".

Just understand that if some power hungry cop arrests you for said "tool" and you don't have very good lawyers (as there is no current case law to back you up) it might seriously fuck up your life, even if you could get out of a conviction should the worst happen.

This is all that is needed to make the gun legal in california
besides a muzzle brake than a flash hider or 10 round magazines
NO FAGGOT BULLET BUTTONS
NO FLAT MUZZLES
NO ODD STOCKS
and if new laws get passed to lift the bans
than you can easily just remove the sleeve and and a normal ar15 or if you move to another state you dont have to do much to fix it

>>
>>28426922
They don't care about safety, at least not our safety. If they did no one would be okay with those sealed magwell AR15s. The fucking gun is designed to vent gas out the magwell in the event of catastrophic failure to reduce the chance of possible injury to the operator for fuck's sake.

Are there any semi-auto rifles that don't have the capacity to accept removable magazines? Even hunting guns like the Browning BAR have removable magazines (even if they're 3 or 5 rounds)

That's a military rifle. I mean current production semi auto rifles. I don't think a single one (outside of maybe the Marlin Model 60) have a non-removable magazine. You'd have to have an open top to put rounds in, which is less durable and makes mounting a scope more difficult. Even the Remington Model 750 has a removable magazine.

>>28427196

>>
>>28426455
> 2013
It didn't happen. "Assault Rifles" with bullet buttons are still perfectly legal.
>>
>>28427243
An unmodified SKS has "the capacity to accept removable magazines", which is the criteria under the law. Just take out the fixed magazine and rock a jam-o-matic in.
>>
>>28427229
Thumbhole stocks are fine with a bullet button, and banned without one. Yes, we are all aware that that makes no sense. But there isn't a complete, unconditional ban on them.
>>
>>28427258
You're legally wrong. SKSs are not considered to have the capacity to accept removable mags. Just like bullet buttoned rifles are not considered to have said capacity either.
>>
>>28423500
Just buy an SCR
>>
>>28427276
The law that was linked was specifically crafted to prevent ARs with bullet buttons from being sold in CA. Previously, the law stated that the magazine must require a tool to be removed. This law would change it so that NO semiauto rifle could have a removable magazine whatsoever.
>>
>>28423500
I have a ton of these i bought for cheap. I only have 1 installed though. I works, but the grip angle isn't very comfortable. Everyone always say im dumb for not using a BB, despite the fact I always have a BB'd lower right next to it.
>>
>>28427304
Except the law was never enacted, so it's irrelevant. And regardless, it would have been thrown out in court because it is effectively a complete ban on semi-automatics, which the courts have made pretty damn clear is an overreach in their eyes.
>>
>>28426428
Because banning bullet buttons would thus ban rifles with pistol grips, flash hiders, bayonet lugs, and adjustable stocks completely.

Despite what you non Californian gun owners think about the bullet button should not be existing in the first place, it allows these rifles to be sold and be owned and used when technically in theory they are all banned.

It still allows Californians to be better off than New Yorkers, Jerseyians, Marylandians, Bostonians, Canadians, Australians and Brits.
>>
>>28428265
It shouldn't be a thing in the first place, you should be free.
>>
>>28423500
Just get an ambidexterous mag release and put the radlock on it, then always release it from the left side. nobody will ever see the tiny lever on the other side while focusing on the button instead
>>
>>28426921
Power and Money.

Truth and Responsibility died a long, long time ago and the news media is about social consumerism and commercialism.

Keep repeating false information long enough and it becomes fact...like how nerds misuse the word decimation to describe a route, or full annihilation of enemy forces.

Words, political parties have changed drastically from what they used to mean.

Shitty pic but this is my take. Truth be told it sucks not being able to use my pistol grip without the possibility of a felony charge. I usually swap out the Hammerhead grip for a standard A2 when I'm in a free state.

Rifle is still perfectly functional, I did turn the selector around as it's easier to use being right handed on this set up. Other than the grip the only real compromise on the build was a Smoke Composites fixed stock instead of something adjustable.

Lower is made from a blank, I'm thinking about building a handgun out of those Polymer 80 Spectre frames once they are out in the wild. Fuck DROS and fuck the DOJ in general, for the time being I refuse to bother with the mandatory registration/confiscation scheme.
>>
Just use a "wonder wrench" OP. Turns your bullet button into a regular mag release and you can take it off in a few seconds.

Being liberal isn't what people think it is in CA's big centers. It's a fucking culture here. Deep rooted culture that bleeds into the government, media, and laws.
If it were like any other blue state, aside from NY, then sure there might be some shit on us for not acting. But the fight here is for inches if you're on the right or want to do anything that isn't in agreement and the feel-good-liberals that run this place can do things in miles.

If we change anything here, it'd be the long game, but everyone forgets this when they start talking about one of THE most liberal states in the goddamn Union.
