Sunday at 4am seems to me like the perfect time to shitpost about the status of the Uncivil Project.
Someone started a thread yesterday I didn't get to reply to asking how I was doing. The project is steadily moving forwards at a not so bad pace. We've actually got the storyboard for the first issue half done already.
We're also working on a banner and some art, 'cuz the wordpress looks like shit ATM. Once the storyboard is done we'll proceed to start actually drawing the important stuff.
Now, we've obviously got to populate our little world with characters, ain't we? Historical characters are fine and all, but the gals we're telling our story through are still faceless. I said it on the WP, but I (was) going to make a poll to name the Yankee. Thing is, I have no names prepared, so give me some suggestions, I'll throw some dice to select 4 names, and then I'll make one of those little polls you sometimes see around here.
Now, while the aim of the UP is to be as close to the real thing and as detailed as possible, we're human, and we assume you guys don't want to wait 17 years for this to end, so I'll give /k/ the chance to pick what gets drawn!

The a1 was a bullpup version of what was more or less an ar18. And it was absolute shit. The plastic literally melted, not from heat but from bug spray or the sun, the firing pins had to be replaced every 200 or so rounds, the mags fell out, it jammed, it jammed, it jammed again, it couldn't deal with dirt, the rails shook off, the firing pin sometimes was blown out the front or the back of the gun.
The a2 largely addressed these issues thankfully.

If your rollers are worn to a certain point it'll jam more than it cycles.
I have a G3 armorer's manual, you have very little room for error, the bolt gap needs to be between 0.1-0.5 milimeters, if it's not, it'll jam.
You'll need rollers dependent on the ammunition you use.
