Could this work in real life /k/?
>>28392745
Japanimation isn't real life, son.
whats the purpose of the two propellers going opposite directions?
>>28392745
What? Coaxial propellers? Or pushing props? Because both have been done IRL.

WAhT IS THIS

could I get the sources?

IIRC anon said the anime in question isn't at all /k/-related and these two webms make up 95% of all its /k/-related content.

Enhanced efficiency while keeping the propeller diameter resonably small

Wolf Brigade is so good.

bless your beautiful hide anon
>>28392745
what counter rotating pushers ?
>>28392832
When Gainax had a budget and knew how to use it right.
>>28392767
Only examples I've seen it in is helicopters, ka-50, 52 and the Chinook to counter the torque or one rotor
>>28392745
Only thing wrong with the plane that I can see is the landing gear. Its practically a bicycle. While it does appear to have smaller wheels on its vertical stabilizers similar to the J7W this doesn't solve the issue of it tipping over and getting stuck on one side.
>>28392754
Did he ever say it was, son?
Yes.
Unducted Fan.

So it's like the Harrier, big deal. Bicycle-style main gear, smaller ones on the wings.

Propeller rotates and due to actio=reactio (Newton's law) the counter-torque on the plane is the same as the torque needed to drive the propeller. This causes the plane to bank. With two propellers spinning in opposite direction, the resulting torque on the plane is zero, while each propeller still pushes air. Hence the plane is more stable. As a pusher however, you'd only have to compensate the pure propeller torque. On a puller, the rotating stream of air generated on the propeller hits the under or top side of the wing too, pushing one side up and pulling the other one down. Decreasing the torque effect would be much more effective on a puller.
However, these designs require a special gearbox which is heavier and more complex than the one for a single prop.

Before everyone gets excited about Royal Space Force, one thing;
The movie isn't a military drama. It's more a coming of age story. That said, it's set to a backdrop of a cold war political scheme to provoke an invasion and is beautifully animated.
>>28392767
No torque.
Helps with higher speed when making a bigger prop means the outer part of prop will be supersonic.
>>28392745
heavier-than-air flight? Yes.

nice post

It flies like shit.

Same apply to Jin-Roh and the rest of the Kerberos Saga. More police drama-fueled, less action than you would expect, but don't like that stop you from enjoying at least Wolf Brigade.
>>28392888
This is just like wolfenstein: the new order. I think Id has some explaining to do.
>>28401577
Jin-Roh has more operating than The Wings of Mayonnaise though (they're both great movies).
>>28401592
Id didn't make The New Order.
>>28395208
Lurk more.
>>28401662
Oh hey, you're right. I guess Machine Games and Befesda has some explaining to do.
