Probably not, they're a pretty shitty concept and IER scopes aren't anything to write home about.
I have tried them with 2x and 4xes on leverguns and never been impressed.
For an actual "walking around" gun you can do a lot better with a nice revolver, since weight and packability was so important you compromised with a scout setup in the first place.
if primary need is hunting you can just go with a normal lightweight hunting rifle setup.
There's a reason scout setups keep bombing when they come to market. Nobody gives a shit about them, and despite their stated niche, nobody needs one to fill it.
Don't confuse this with me saying your rifle is shit, it probably isn't. The scout concept just isn't anything to get excited about.

Got one in 7mm-08. Ditched the IER scope and put a Leupold VX6 1-6x on it. For a lightweight hunting rifle in that price range it was either that or a Kimber 84M.

I will do that too, but I'm looking for 1950s and 60s era scopes. I don't need a long eye relief since I can't use strippers with AK magazines. No bolt hold. But yeah it'll be great, will just take a long time to do.
