I don't feel like it's fair to say an AR is the best. AR15 is a platform. It's a versatile, reliable, and useful platform, yes, but it is not one specific rifle.
It's like saying that trucks are the best automobiles. It depends on what you need it for, and what it's built out of.
Maybe it's not even fair to ask what the best gun in the world is at all. There are so many guns that do so many specific things.
