is there a reason I shouldn't put paint on iron sights?
I've been wondering this same thing. Trying to shoot at dark targets with irons is rough.

I find white sights a lot easier to use than black iron sights, especially since most targets I aim at are fairly dark.

I used a swipe of pic related to paint the front sight on the ole beat up hipower. Works great. Way easier to acquire the sights when you present now

but i put some glow in the dark stuff on some of my sights
overall im pretty happy with them

nope.
you can try it with white-out first it will flake right off if you don't like it
it feels gritty and i need to put some clear nail polish over it to help protect it
they stay way brighter than the tritium in my glock or kimber for about 5-10 minutes
still good after for about 20
then they are pretty much done
but they only take like 5 seconds to charge with a bright flashlight and its seriously night and day difference when i clear my house at night now

How would you compare it to just plain white in daylight? I got some Tru-dots for my PPS and they are MUCH worse than the white painted stock sights unless it's pitch black. I'll probably give this a try. Seems like a cool thing to have around anyway.
