What exactly went wrong in (gif related) what caused the mortar to malfunction?
>>

Spiked round, probably.
>>
Spiked ammo.
Deliver rigged ammo to your enemies.
Let them kill themselves and distribute it amongst other bad guys
>>
idk but its fun to watch

Fucked up fuse, possibly. I'm no expert, but I don't think storing your ordinance in a sandy goat anus is a smart choice.
>>
Faggot learned his lesson the hard way

Next time clean your mortars and that'll cause less malfunctions

Spiked ammo exists, but in that case it's not that.

You have to wait a minimum of at least 30 seconds between shots, especially when using an old ass mortar like that. The barrel gets hot as hell.
>>
>>28379406

upon closer inspection, you can see he's merely pretending
>>
>>28379580

... and the mortar round goes off right away.
>>
>>28379406

There's a documentary about dirty wars and CIA spreading tainted ammo around the 3rd world, they show that video as an example. But that's actually not true, there's a longer version viral where you can see he's just shooting like 4 rounds in 15 seconds
>>
>>28379406
everyone is saying spiked ammo but in reality its probably because its a 50 year old mortar thats been buried in a field for a decade or more then fired through a too-hot tube and it cooked off.
>>

Why does this dude have a cartridge mounted to the front of his gun? Is it an improvised front sight? Also, what is the purple poker chip?
>>
>>28379648

Poker chip could be like a mojo or something.

Mounting single cartridges on your ak is actually quite common in the 3rd world, just look at pics from syria. In a documentary a kurd said he has it for suicide purposes in case there's no way out, idk.

Interesting; I'd never seen it before but that kinda make sense. I'd honestly rather not get captured in most of those places either.

Where the explosion is is a big clue as to what went wrong. He clearly ate a lot of beans for breakfast.
>>
salted ammo isn't required to explain gif. let's be honest with op's question. more likely it simply failed due to condition from poor long-term storage. he's also sending from a position that's full of loose trash and other debris. consider the sand that is default, and there's every chance that the tube had larger foreign objects from his earlier rounds. clean your gun, check your ammo, try not to end up on liveleak
>>
I could have sworn I read something about this dipshit sticking around for too long and was letting off way too many rounds and ISAF eventually managed to triangulate his dumb ass and send return fire, but now that I look at it, it looks way too precise and small to be anything other than a malfunction. Maybe an insanely lucky 40mm shot?
>>
>>28379580
Confirmed for never firing a mortar.
>guess i've never commanded a gunline to fire10 rounds in effect

Return fire.

Wrong mortal round. To big if i remember correctly

Is that why the guy in OPs .gif is holding the tube with his bare hands? ;)
>>
>>28382716
That's not how mortars work, idjet.
>>
>>28379406
tube is probably warped a bit after lots of use.
>>
That is an old gif and its from a video of Israeli tanks shooting at the terrorist.
