Yes, if the squadron strength of both the Stukas and the escort fighters permitted it. It was a rare case, but happened.

The Ju 87 was much more suited to the Eastern front, where it was a venerable opponent to the IL-2. Both had their advantages over each other, but due to German >industry there was one huge trump card the IL-2 held.

Battle of Remagen. Hell of a battle.
>by mere fluke Americans capture intact bridge over Rhine, solid enough to support tanks
>bridge was wired to blow, but Germans did not expect enyone yet
>Hitler goes batshit, and orders to destroy bridge at all cost
>they every aircraft avaliable, fighters, bombers, even jets
>Americans bring so much quad .50s, they have to park them bumper in bumper
>hail of .50s sends 1/3rd of attacking force into ground
>Germans counterattack with tanks
>and artillery
>and rockets
>and mined boats
>and demolition divers
>Hitlers orders to launch V2s into bridge
>Goering tries to create suicide squadron that would kamikaze into bridge
>after over 2 weeks of constant attacks bridge finally collapses
>it was long enough for Americans to cross 25k soldiers, and build TWO bridges nearby

The stuka was obsolete before the burgers even entered the war.

Only had it's day on the Eastern front where enemy fighters were also obsolete.

I think OP meant attack on the United states directly.
Their territory you know, North Amerika
To OP:I don't think there were any Stukas there, not even any planes.
What I do know is that there were various Submarine operations and some ships in the Mexican bay, Brasilia and near new york (and some in the pacific because the relations to Japan ).
Also in WWI there were Zeppelin that actually attacked American cities (NYC), which was really effective at making americans afraid of Germany... well until they began to loose.

Learn to read.

>well until they began to loose.

...Never mind.
>>
>>28371614
cool thank you
also would it have been more effective for Germany to invest the money more in the development of Kanonvoegel instead of bigger (and more susceptible ) tanks.
Imagine a a squadron of stukas with dual 50mm canons :3

No.

The stuka was already slow and vunerable. The weight of the kanonenvogel made it even worse.

The FW190 Jagdbombers was the correct way forward. Too little too late though.

Never happened. There were Zeppelins capable of reaching the US but none ever did.

If you are referring to that ammo dump that blew up on the Jersey side of the harbor, that was either an accident or sabotage. Depending on what yellow journalism you wish to believe.

Or until Americans realized no zeppelins actually ever attacked American cities.

ok thank you

Patton punched a stuke to death if I remember correctly.
>>
>>28371247
There were also quite a number of 90mm AA batteries hooked up to radar fire control. Those were the deadliest guns defending the bridge and it's approaches. .

It had a brief happy period in north Africa in the aftermath of Operation Torch. Allied fighter cover was still sketchy due to various reasons and the Luftwaffe was able to be up in force in certain areas. One of them was known as Stuka Valley for the seemingly endless amounts dive bomber attacks.

The legendary Hans-Ulrich Rüdel kept flying the stuka until the end of the war, even with a broken leg. He escaped multiple attacks by Mustangs and similar planes and even managed to provoke a skirmish between p-51's and russian planes. The gound attack missions by his squadron were mainly aimed at russian troops but if there was anyone who might have done a dive bomibing on US troops at the end of the war it is probably him or someone from his squadron. BTW for a great read, try his autobiography Stuka Pilot.
