What is the point of this thing? I understand the LCP being a micro pistol, and the lc9 is a good gun, but why would you deliberately choose the exact same gun in an inferior caliber?

LCP is slightly smaller. LC380 is literally the same gun as LC9 only chambered in .380.
Other than the mag capacity I literally see no reason in getting the LC380.

I wouldn't call them full sized. They're definitely compact, especially in the barrel/slide department. Sure, their grips are bit thicker than modern compacts like the g19, but still my no means full sized.

I can tell right now most people here have not shot a pocket pistol. They kick worse than a .45, and for an emergency shooter you want to be as accurate as possible. Its why people will go to .380 from 9mm when it comes to this size of a pistol.

I own the P238 and have shot the 938. I bought the 238 over the 938 because the recoil was extremely minimal on the 238 and the capacity is 1 rd higher. Also, .380 has come a long way since the 1950s and is a fairly potent round. I use it for winter deep concealment and summer carry when my outfit cannot easily hide my Steyr. 238>938 in ergonomics while appearing to be identical.
And I personally would buy anything over an LCP. The damn thing has 0 sights and the trigger is awful compared to lets say a Kahr or my Sig. The recoil, while not unmanageable, makes follow up shots take longer. I realize, this is a micro pocket gun and it is not meant to be used at any real range, but I can get 6 rounds out faster than with the LCP.
