It's that time of the year that I'm renewing all my club memberships and I wondered where other people are shooting and how much is costs? Everything here is pretty much private (non-profit) clubs. For profit indoor ranges are not common here and outdoor for-profit facilities are 100+ miles away.

Here what I get and how much it costs:

Club 1 $20/yr: 2500 members, 300 acres of club space, 100 yard rifle range, airgun range, bullseye pistol facility, defensive pistol pit, two trap fields, walk through 3D archery, and the club has a bar/restaurant.

Club 2 $30/yr: 5000 members, 290 acres of club space, rifle to 300 yards, a dozen different pistol bays, indoor .22 range, 3D archery walk through, lighted trap fields, skeet, a fishing pond, club bar/restaurant.

Club 3 $35/yr: 800 members, 110 acres of club space, rifle to 100 yards, 2 trap fields, 3D walk through archery, 1 pistol facility with 3/5/7/10/15/25 yard shooting positions, and a club house.

None of these clubs have lane or use fees, unless you're renting a pavilion or clubhouse.

Tx bro here. The place i shoot at only has rifle at 100. Kinda sucks when you want to plink at 50 or less. Its like 11$/hr. Its gunsmoke shooting range in college station. Anyone know anywhere better near that area?
>>
>>28335999
The more expensive one with less members. It has less than the others but you also have to deal with less people and have more room to shoot.
>>
>>28336042
None of the places are ever really busy. The $35 one is nice because it's 4 minutes from home. I can hear them trap shooting there now. They are light on the rules pretty much a lot of things go the way you want them to go.

>has a gun store cat
>literally sells nothing new, inventory hasnt been updated since 1985

>run by a fat autistic guy that watches old movies on a crt tv

I shoot at a range called "a place to shoot" here in San Antonio. The people are really great and helpful. It's 10 bucks a shooter, no time limit. 3 bucks for extra pistol targets and 5 for extra rifle targets. They have a 25 yard rifle range, a 100 yard and a 25 and 100 yard rifle range. The pistol range is up to 18 yards setting your own distance. The gun shop they have is pretty nice and the gunsmiths are exceptional. My scope internals broke while I was sighting in my 30-06 and I had a new one on and ready is like 15 minutes

Tri-County in Portland OR, $170 a year. ~5k members.

50/100/200/300/600 rifle, 7/25/50 standing pistol lanes, pits for action shooting, skeet/trap fields, indoor 22 range, blackpowder range

This is one private indoor facility I shot at. 4 lanes went to 100 yards and the backstop was good for .50bmg. There was a side roll up door that was big enough to bring in a Lenco Bearcat. As good as the place was, there were some serious audio problems in there and you often could not figure out what the hell the RO in the booth was saying.
>>
>>28335999
$0 because of my membership, goes to 25 yards, also has a simulator and I get priority lane access. Has 3 submachineguns and 20 pistols to rent. 15% off all ammo too.
>>
Jesus, we're getting buttfucked here in NE Ohio.

Local range/gun store run by a buncha dicks:

>$250/yr includes 1 hr range time per visit, regular rates after
>regular rate is $20/hr ($10 for half)
>7 stalls, indoor, 25yd
>No shotguns, no green tip, etc

Supposedly there's a couple nice outdoor ranges about an hour either direction, but I haven't had a chance to get out to them yet. This one is 5 mins away.

Really sucks we don't have hardly any public land (at least around here) to shoot on.

Check'd
I shoot at Quail Creek in DFW, it's like $14 and you can only shoot SP or HP on the rifle range.

I'm moving to Durant, Oklahoma soon. Any OK bros know any good ranges near there?
>>
>>28335999
That is cheap as fuck and be glad you dont live in Chicago. The only range near it is the Aurora Sportsmans Club about 50 miles away and want $565 for the first year AND work for them for free for 10 hours. Subsequent years are $280 and another 5 hours of labor. God this city is ran by kikes.

There is a place I go shoot at night, it's on coal mining lands where they tolerate shooting. But, you get a bunch of drunk ass hill people showing up there at night.

There's the ISRA range in Kankakee. But usually I do Article 2 when I want to use the rifle. Or I go out to my friend's farm and shoot.
>>
>>28336363

We're building a private range now
>>
I pay nothing since I shoot at a state wildlife management area. 50 yd pistol range. 100 yd rifle range.
>>
>>28335999
>Where do I shoot?
My lawn.
>How much do I pay?
My mortgage.
>>
>>28336408
You don't worry about putting the lead on your own land? That's what keep me from doing more shooting here. I have plenty of space and will do some light pistol shooting here, but I really don't do much of it because of the potential for contamination.
>>
>>28336145

Is that a common law in certain states? In Nevada, I can target shoot on BLM land day or night, just can't hunt at night.
>>
>>28336343
No. Havent been there, but because it is close to Chicago, I can only assume it means you get to wait in a line for a hour or two for a bench to open up.

>>28336373
>ISRA range in Kankakee
How much do those kikes want? All I can find online so far is that you have to pay more in addition to whatever fees there are being in the ISRA.

Does it have its own website?
>>

>ISRA range in Kankakee

Nevermind I found it. Those kikes are even more expensive than ASC, and want you to work for free longer than the ASC too.

Anyone know any good places in Oregon? I was thinking the Mt. Hood national forest but I can't tell if you're allowed to shoot there or not.
>>
>>28336446
Im sure if you shot to one marked off area you could really reduce the risks of contamination.

>I dont know understand how ground water contamination happens

That's my biggest concern, having a well and also having a creek and marsh on my property.
>>
>>28336446
I had rented a bobcat years ago for an unrelated project. Well I got my job done faster than what the rental period was for so I did some jobs for my neighbors. All the dirt I moved I made into a shooting berm towards the back end of my 4 1/2 acres. I'm not worried about contaminating a pile of fill.
>>
>local rifle club
£15 a year membership fee is ok
£1 fee every time I want to use the up to 25 yards range regardless of whatever I'm shooting
They only allow airguns and .22 rimfire but whatever it's the UK I'll take what I can
50 rounds of CCI standard is 3 pounds which is fine really
I shoot club guns mostly as no FAC yet but its ok since no additional fees to use them which is good
Ruger 10/22s and CZ 452s are fun

It's only a short walk from my house so its fine
Most trips I spend £4 and I thought that was a lot but it seems to be a lot less than Americans in this thread which is a surprise
>>
>rifle from point blank to 700 yards
>pistol the same, with pistol-only steel target area going from point-blank to 100 yards
All for the low, low price of like $13 a visit with the $50 membership fee. And you can't shoot magnetic ammo, either.

Still cheaper than gas money for driving to BLM land, and if you bring your receipt from a gun show they knock the membership down to $30.

Calverton

$15.00 per person for rifle, pistol and archery
$20.00 per person for trap
$290.00 per person for yearly pass

Rules: Guns unloaded with magazine out/bolt open during cold range. You sort of can't set up your own steel targets or anything. Just paper. It's the only "good" range and its an hour from where I live. The benches are shitty and the place hasn't been renovated since the 50's (when it was built)

Welcome to Long Island.
>>
>>28336892
Was this the place that was losing its lease? I read about a place out on the island that was in some sort of old quarry and the soccer moms were bitch and putting pressure on the quarry owner to shut down the range.
>>
I have a few choices

>DNR range: $0 but have to deal with fudds and weirdos
>a clearing a little bit before the DNR range: $0
>the 10 acre backyard of an acquaintence: $0

All in all not too shabby
>>
is it legal to shoot guns/camp on national preserves? im looking for something secluded but i live in Texas, currently im looking at Big thicket.
>>
Capt forest, WA. No cost except gas and ammo.

life is good.
>>
I have no interest whatsoever in bench shooting or medium distance target shooting, I just want to do shoot houses, CQB ranges, reaction drills and other tactical shit.

I need to make some fellow veteran friends when I get out and just move to some place like Oklahoma or Texas
>>
>>28337774
Or, you should take up IDPA and USPSA shooting, you'll get to do most of that and you'll have little set up and teardown time.
>>
I shoot in my back yard. I landed a deer from my kitchen window last year.
>>
>>28335999
I primarily shoot on BLM next to my house. 500 yards with a backstop

Otherwise the paid range in town is $80/year for

Rifle range: gongs out to 1000y
Fockler sight in range: 200yards, gongs to 500
Pistol range: 100 yards
Shotgun range: patterning area
Shotgun range: manual throwers
Black powder range (1000yards)
Rifle silhouette range: 500y
Pistol silhouette range: 200yards
Small bore kids range (100yards)
Action pistol range (8 bays)
Cowboy action range (7 bays)
Law enforcement Bays
Ladie's bays

There's a couple more ranges after that but they're only for events
>>
Black Hills National Forest.

Free.

Well technically hunting rules apply. So I can shoot 30 minutes before sunrise and 30 minutes after sunset. But in practice it's not a good idea. Locals love to bitch.

Live in super rich Southern California. Best range in about 200 miles is just a few mins from my fathers place. cost is 125$ for my renewal. It hurts when I don't make as much money in the winter and just spent all my money on gifts. But it is really the only place I can go and shoot.
