So I got a Ruger mk 3 this year. I took it apart to learn how to clean it.

That is where I went wrong.

I can't get the dam pin back in.
So I took it to a gun store that's just up the road.

It's been half an hour and everyone in the store can't put it back together.

Why would someone build a gun this tedious!

Ruger firearms are fucked. I hate taking them apart for their seasonal deep clean and oil.
I shoot my WASR and my Glock more than my fucking 10/22 and Mk2
>>
>>28325436
Ya but I got a mark 3 and those are far far worse.
The guys at the store are looking up how to videos on YouTube. We have gotten despite
>>
It's really not that bad. Get learn'd
>>
There are several videos on how to properly reassemble it, that really explain what some people have issues with.
But there are also products out there that replace the rear bolt stop pin with an allen screw that eliminates the need to remove the backstrap, look into those if you have a problem with reassembly.

>I got a Ruger mk 3 this year. I took it apart to learn how to clean it.
I disassembled my beloved old Ruger 10/22 for the first time maybe ten years ago.

I had to go into town and buy a book to figure out how to put it back together.

You're lying.

If you guys are too incompetent to follow simple instructions and re assemble a pistol, then you should not own guns.
If you follow instructions, it's not that hard
>>
>>28325408
Have you never fucking heard of YouTube?

Seriously, I look up all but the simplest things, 10 minutes of watching a video is far better than 10 days waiting for that tiny spring loaded part you lost to ship.
>>
>>28325408
I have the same exact MK3 as you, stainless, competition model

Yes, it is a pain, just watch jootube videos to figure it out

i've disassembled and reassembled many times, yeah it's gay as aids, but gets easier

That's because you're a retard.
>>
>>28325683

Are you fucking kidding me? The 10/22 is dead simple. Shouldn't you be coloring instead of playing with firearms?
>>
>>28325436
>being so retarded you cant assemble a firearm

This fickle bitch. 20 rounds of birdshot worked, then it jams on slugs (yes, I'm adjusting the gas setting)? WTF. Then it works with buckshot, but jams on the same buckshot later that day. I think I've got a problem magazine in the mix but at this point I just want to sell it.

/shrug

Maybe. I honestly could not figure it out. I was at my uncle's place and had not Internet.

The book I bought had instructions for assembly/disassembly of like 180+ rifles in it, and it's still on my shelf. So at least I got something out of the experience.

I think you might not have any nonproblem magazines in the mix.
>>
>>28325848
you might want to have an actual gunsmith do some work

Haha fuck. Nah, the 12 rounder is solid and sticks mainly with birdshot duty. The godamn md20 drum is what gives me the most trouble. It was supposed to be the best and I've never seen one bad review.

I should get some factory 5 rounders, but, I'm about tapped out on money and time with this gun.
>>
>>28325853
They're being dicks. It was easy for me but I youtubed how to put the trigger assembly back together right. No Internet and it would've been a bit of fuckery.
>>
>>28325408
Its not even that fucking hard
>>
>>28326124
Honestly mossberg 500s are way harder to detail strip in my opinion
>>
>>28326135
thats cause you not supposed to even touch the trigger pack on a mossy and theres no instructions on the internet
>>
>>28325408
I think the most fun I've ever had putting a gun back together was when I had to reinstall the mag release on my stepdads ak. Chunks must have some stupidly small fingers.

You're not supposed to take it apart.
>>
>>28326147
It's not too difficult until you get to the firing pin assembly. I wouldnt fuck with that.
>>
>>28326147
Even the bolt disassembly is super hard to angle it in correctly

The 10/22 is an easy disassemble and reassemble. You must be a fucking idiot.

Nice! I haven't seen another stainless like that... Ever. Helluva upper on that. I have the same exact right hand walnut gross too but swapped them out for the hogue so they don't get messed up.

OP, it's not that hard. Yes, it takes some learning, but it's not that bad. I can break mine down and have it right back together on the first or second try. YouTube it.
