You are heavily discouraged and advised against even owning a FA trigger group even without the necessary auto sear for an AR15. There are numerous ATF letters about this, some more forceful than others, some outright claiming that it is constructive possession.

In theory it should be possible with anything having a tab on the side of the bolt carrier.
For example, it wouldn't work on a stock AR-15 because of the charging handle that's not attached to the bolt carrier.
