How cumbersome is the M82 rifle?
Could the average guy carry it around and shoulder shoot it easily (without having to lay down and set the bipod everytime you shoot it)?

It's very cumbersome and awkward. It can be fired from any position but it wont be accurate at all. I carried one in favor of my M40A5 because we were often attacked from 1200m + Each magazine weighs 5 lbs. I would carry one gun in the mag and 4 in a large satchel / indiana jones man-purse over my shoulder. All the rounds I used were A606 (Mk211 raufoss). I never fired it unless it was from a supported position. There is no way to be effective out at the ranges I was shooting from an offhand position. I would also sling carry a tripod w/ hog saddle and padded rest. This allowed me to set up my tripod and fire from any position needed.
That new shorter version is much lighter... however given the muzzle velocity trade off I personally thing its fucking stupid. Im sure some armchair general will argue the need for a 20" suppressed .50cal in some absolutely obscure scenario in urban combat.

I own a bush master ba50, it would be a real pain I'm the ass to walk around with it for a extended period of time also to fire.it like a regular rifle is unpractical, the recoil isn't bad though it's eqivilant to a 12 gauge imo

Why would you even fire it without a bipod? Do you know what this rifle is for?
Long range shooting and shooting at important stuff which you can't break that easily with normal rifle calibers.
If they wanted to make a gun that's easy to carry, they'd probably make it have different ergonomics (like that version you carry on your shoulder).
