Squat shooting is best shooting.

Just like a lot of things, you can comfortably Slavsquat with proper technique. If you feel unsteady, or get tired quickly you are doing it wrong. Westerners especially have a hard time properly squating, but when you use the proper technique, you will oft find yourself squatting everywhere where you would otherwise sit, stand, or lean against. You will start by assuming a neutral stance, with your feet shoulder width apart and your toes angled slightly outward like in pic related.

Now, this is where it can get difficult if you are not used to squatting properly.
You will begin to lower yourself by bending at the knees, but you must keep your torso sticking upright at the same angle as when you are standing. You will also want to stick your butt out slightly as you go further down. You will continue to keep you feet planted firmly on the ground. Eventually you will reach a point where you can't go any further. If you have done this correctly, you will have achieved a proper squat! It should look like pic related

I shot my first deer with an AK with iron sights
slav squatting in a ditch. It's better than standing but worse than prone. I try change all my standing shots into slav squat shots when I'm in the move because it's a quick way to brace my rifle.
