/k/ can you help me. I'm a fucking idiot and am fairly new to guns. I was disassembling my 92fs to clean it and when I went to reassmble it this "washer" for lack of a better term came out and I have no fucking idea where it goes. I've tried looking online and at breakdown schematics and nothing. Seems like the size of the spring but I just don't know. God I'm dumb.

it probably goes between the end of the spring and whatever it is braced against. I'd expect the spring to fit quite well over the shoulder of the washer.

Thank you. That was my though but when I do that, it's just thick enough that the firing pin won't fit
That seems like a non-standard guide rod. Almost like it was a captive guide rod or something, which would make that the front of it.

You mean the guide rod, not the firing pin right?
>>28258420
What firing pin? You mean the mainspring guide?
>>28258349
Did you take the grips off by any chance?
>>28258441
Yes I'm sorry, guide rod. Thank you guys for helping. Sorry for the misnaming.
That looks like a laser guide rod.
>>28258452
I did not - good question though as it looks similar to the grip screw - it's not threaded though.
>>28258469
This is what I'm thinking and it fits perfectly, but when I put it on the guide rod the rod won't fit in the slide.

Its the Flux Compasiter, just toss it. the weapon will still fire but it'll make a whinning sound.

Post a pic of the take down lever

The other side please. Where it protrudes through the frame.
>>28258589
Thank you!
That's not a factory Beretta guide rod, which is one piece steel or plastic.
It almost looks like a Sprinco recoil management rod, but it's not. What the hell, OP?

>I'm a fucking idiot and am fairly new to guns
We know, you said you bought a 92FS
>>28258623
This, idk wtf that is. It's probably a washer that goes in front of the rod. Could be a buffer or something like that.
Is there a brand name on the guide rod? It's not factory and it looks like it has more than one piece to it.
>>28258608
Ok. Not a laser guide rod but some kind of replacement. Are you sure that washer thing came out of the gun? Could it have been lying there?
>>28258638
You guys nailed it. Thank you. I think it is an aftermarket springco (I didn't know as I bought it used) but when I googled and looked at your pic it definitely is. I put it the other way in the guide rod receiver and it worked. Thanks so much to all of you!

Goes on the end of the spring, between it and the slide.
>>28258687
That was it. Thank you!
