can we have a thread to discuss /k/ related documentaries? My personal favourites are ones that follow military units either through training or deployment. Big bonus if they can be watched on youtube.
Two very good ones are Royal Marines: Mission Afghanistan and Norway at War. If you want a good one that instead follows troops through training, check out Commandos: On the front line.

It's a drama mockumentary based on real favela gangwars, and the latter hakf of the movie has a huge focus on the illegal gun trade in South America and it gets pretty /k/razy with some of the real guns those groups have

both of those docs only dealt with one single unit of the army in a very specific environment. Thats kind of a broad brush you are painting with. Reading "The Wrong War", "Lions of Kandahar", and "No True Glory" would give you a better more thorough perspective on what has been going on in combat enviorments for the past decade and a half.

War for Peace is alright. Mostly Swedish military porn, almost no combat footage(unless you call a guy shooting. 50cal against a mountain top combat) but some audio segments are pretty good and a aborted HVT capture mission is kinda cool to watch.

Besides that, all that poll showed me is that countries outside of the Middle East/Africa have less of a problem with Muslims trying to bring their views into politics than the US has with Christians trying to bring their views into politics.
