Is 9mm really a meme bullet? Is it a reliable choice to fend off a wild nigger?

It's ok, not as much stopping power as .45 though.

Whatever you buy spend time to get good with it, a 9mm to the vitals will be deadlier than a .44 mag to the extremities

its all about shot placement in the end

anything is better than nothing

even a pocket rocket in 22lr will give you a giant advantage
>>
>round that has existed for more than 115 years and been adopted by almost every military and police force in the world at some point
How is it possible for 9mm to be a "meme"?
>>
>>28100003
For sidearms, 9mm is the preferred self defense caliber in the US as well as world wide.
I doubt it will ever be a meme senpai
>>
All bullets are meme bullets. All cartridges are wildcat special snowflakes. Millions of people don't just suddenly start using a particular brand new cartridge/caliber. It starts small.

9mm is like a hundred years old.

Considering that the most popular murder weapon in the country is a .22 revolver, I think you'll be more than a match for your foes with 9mm.
>>
Are .40 a bigger meme bullet?
>>
There was a somewhat recent study where 18/20 Operators in the CF said they prefer 9mm. Pretty sure 9mm is preferred by mostly every special forces op on the planet.

I agree about everything but the special forces thing. I read that poll in a magazine btw.

Correct me if im wrong, but .45acp is the go to caliber for suppressed weapons. Wouldnt it stand to reason special ops would favor a .45?

Weight is more commonly an issue then sub sonic suppression

No. Get at least a .45 ACP or .357 sig

9mm efficacy is determined by the round. I wouldn't use fmj, obviously, but there are some defense rounds out there that do some pretty rad damage. I use sig 147 grain hollow points in my carry gun.
