It's just a regular Mini-14 with a 20 round magazine. San Bernardino county Sheriff's Department issues them as their patrol rifles. The woman pictured is a SBSD deputy. Model # from Ruger is 5817
They were one of the first LE agencies in California to issue a patrol rifle to officers and adopted the Mini-14 in 1980 after the Norco shootout where several Sheriff's deputies got into a shootout with armed bank robbers who were armed with shotguns, an AR-15, an HK91, and an HK93. The rifles kept the deputies at bay who were only armed with shotguns and their .38 service revolvers. The shootout ended when a SBSD deputy brought his personally owned AR-15 to the shootout and engaged the suspects at range and which point the suspects tried fleeing into the woods at Lytle Creek.
