because Sako on it's nigger policy. Cheapest trg magazines that I have seen were 170 usd in euro-optic but no more. There were some knock-off trg magazines but Beretta probably sued them or some shit.

logically I know it's because of R&D and companies needing to make a profit but after getting used to good quality $8 AR mags I can't stand paying $45 for a pistol magazine. I'm going to buy a glock just so I can stack them deep.

Getting mags for my high power or Marlin 795 actively pisses me off.
Like I'm sure magpul makes a killing off of pmags but they are still fairly well priced AMD great quality.
Then there's 1911 mags which are fucking simple to make and cheap to produce and everyone fucks them up or charges out the ass for one that works.
Call magpul Jews or whatever but at least they got magazine pricing right.
Although I have no idea what the purpose of their block mags are.
Oh I almost forgot fucking makarov magazines are almost impossible to find good prices for online. I'm glad I found some semi shady Russian surplus import website and ordered a 10 pack when I did. Shit was cheap and covered in cosmoline of was great. Even got two Bakelite mags from them for like 16 each

it's because it's for a Sako rifle which costs a few thousand bucks
it's also used by the Tikka T3 CTR which is a thousand which is a pain in the ass if you're a CTR owner. The CTR is also the only T3 that uses a 10 round magazine.

Haha the penalty for losing a G36 mag in the Bundeswehr was also in the 30-40€ range.

The T3 CTR will have its own 10 round mags that should be less expensive. The new mags are just TRG mags with plastic crap riveted on to prevent use with TRG magwell.
This is because the TRG is a "military rifle" so it and all of its parts need special export permits and all that bullshit. I'm suprised that those aren't on the market yet since new CTR's have been shipped with the new mags all summer.

Surplus is cheap because the costs were paid for by the taxpayer when someone thought the army would need the stuff. USGI mags are cheap because they're made in ridiculous numbers.
