Along with everything mentioned, they'd be good for duty carry when you don't need to worry about concealment. A G34 would be a great police sidearm, especially with a light since it can take most of the larger ones like the X300 without them protruding past the muzzle like they do on the shorter guns

Well, no. We can have SBRs... but they have to be registered and can only be legally discharged at a range. You can't take them hunting or plinking if you're plinking anywhere but a range. And at home they have to be trigger locked/bolt removed/cable locked AND be in a secure locking container. And to be transported they have to be doubly locked as well.

Not to mention the inherent accuracy boost from adding 2 inches to your slide, which combined with the sight radius if you're strictly using irons and low muzzle flip, can tighten up groups and shave down time.
Through the time to draw from holster would be longer and weight would play in unless you have one of those Assailent arms chopped up slides that cut down the weight.
