They're heavy as fuck.
They're thin as fuck.
They're long as fuck.
Hollow-point 7.62Tok fucks shit up.
If it's in good condition i'd buy it.
But i probably wouldn't carry it.

For defense against what?
Wolves? Sure, maybe.
Anything bigger? Nope.

Everybody should own one.

Ammo isn't that hard to find, and not priced terribly. Better if you buy in bulk, obviously, and surplus is a bonus.

They're thin, but heavy.

They'll have a tenancy to make a mess one way or another if used for self/home defense (whether overpenetration or by means of fragmentation) as you can buy JHP's, but they're unbonded. So either you mess up what's behind the perp, or you mess up the perp.

I spent $200 for a yugo M57 a few years ago. Everybody who shoots this thing loves it. It's also one of my favorites to shoot.

85gr bullet at 1600ish fps out of a 5 inch barrel = super light recoil, but fun to shoot. Helluva fireball in a dim setting, too.

I CC a 1911 pretty regularly and they're similar in weight, dimensions, and fuck shit up ability, so yeah I'd you can CC it well I say go for it. I'd carry mine if I had a good holster and enough extra mags for it.

What Tok ammo fragments?
>>
>>28045777
PP 7.62x25 JHP's come out of their jacket, and at times leave fragments behind. Not that they explode on impact or anything, they just can't hold together being non-bonded and the such.

Didn't mean to mislead.

Ah ok. Plain JHP 7.62x25 sounds good, jacket separation wouldn't be bad on top

no. not even sort of.

Only if you scream "AAAAHHH MOTHERLAND!" whilst firing.
>>
I wouldn't solely because Toks have no safety whatsoever, meaning it's either cocked and hot, hammer down on a round with no firing pin block, or empty chamber. None of which are safe.
I understand most imported ones to the U.S. have an added manual safety, but they're often to shitty to ever rely on
