Post your Sig guns here and discuss them with other Sig Bros.

If you don't have Sigs feel free to ask questions, but seriously.
>not having the sexiest guns produced

Look at your calendar it's twenty fifteen!

Been thinking about picking up a p226. It's between that and a USP. Convince me to go with the 226.
>>
>>28037375
Depends on which fits your hand better, and what caliber the USP is in
>>
>>28037357
Weren't you permabanned, faggot? Or did you just bitch out after getting BTFO and delete all of your posts in that thread?
>>
>>28037375
As someone who has owned multiple of both at the same time, here's the best advice I can give:
I owned a w. german 226 in 9mm and a stainless slide 226r in .357 sig. I also owned a .40 USP Compact. I traded all those guns and kept the full-size USP 9. That said, the sigs are really fucking nice guns, once you install the SRT they really do sing. Some people swear by the E2 grips, I absolutely hated them but I have pretty big hands.
The main reason I kept a USP and sold all my sigs isn't really because the sigs weren't good or the USP was better or anything, it was really personal preference, the USP full-size looks, in my eyes, the best and it shoots the best as well (at least in my experience). That said, I do plan on buying another sig, but this time I'm going to get the one I really want (228).

Stuck in CA but I just got me a P220R for $500. It was a range gun, I tore it down and inspected it at the counter to make sure she wasn't ruined. Pretty much perfect for a multi-thousand-round gun. Will post a pic in a minute.

>>28037375
The 226 will probably fit your hand better, and by default have a nicer trigger unless the USP has a match unit installed.

Plus, Sigs use a standard rail rather than their special-snowflake bullshit so you can find more than 2 lights/lasers that fit if you're so inclined.

>>
>>28037535
congrats man. Its a solid gun and not much to dislike. definitely needs a srt trigger kit so just order that now and have it ready, you wont regret it. the grips are alright, you could get better g10's or leave the stock cause they're not spend 100$ bad. those are my only two gripes with the gun.

Should have mentioned I'm a big guy at 6'4" 240 and have big hands, so I don't do compact and sub compact because they don't fit my hands. I had a full size USP in .45 before and loved it, but I sold it a while back for tuition money. Have shot the 226, it fits well enough in my hands and is sexy, but I'm looking to get either a second 9mm or a .40 that would be the only one in my arsenal as of now.
>>
>>28037576
p220 and p227
ignore the 1911
>>
>>28037609
Mine came with some rubber Hogue-like grips. It's comfy as fuck to shoot, and I don't know if it's the SRT but it's definitely not the old Sig trigger.

>>28037610
You sound like me... I actually love me a Mk. 23 but I doubt you wanna pay that much, and you said you ditched a .45.

If you get a 9mm, get a P226. Maybe a Mk25 so it has the threaded barrel in case you ever opt for suppressed.
>>
>>28037697
well those are the 2 biggest problems with them and if you already bought a model with those fixed then you're set. I bought mine with a can in mine so raised sights and threaded barrel were the biggest seller for me.
>>
>>28037697
Only ditched it because I needed the money and it made the most sense to get rid of the USP. I love .45 I usually CC my 1911 with 45 super rounds or my Glock 20 in 10mm, the only 9mm I currently own is my bathroom gun, and I'm pretty accurate with the 226 so that's why I'm thinking about getting it. The USP .40 van shoot .357 sig with a quick barrel swap so that's a plus as well, plus I want a .40 just because the ammo us so damn plentiful. I had one a few years ago, but ended up trading it towards an AR.

Sig P226 9mm in a box.jpg
1 MB, 2000x1125
Picked up a brand new P226 a few months ago but I don't have any more recent pics of it so here it is in the box. I installed a SRT kit and picked up a couple Mecgar 18rd mags. Its pricey for a handgun but I love it and shoot it more accurately then any other pistol I have owned.
>>
>>28037697
Keep in mind not all MK25s come with threaded barrels, and the ones that do will have a 13.5 x 1LH thread pitch.

While most cans can be had in that thread pitch I would recommend getting a SIlincerco 226 threaded barrel in the much more standard 1/2 x 28 thread pitch.
>>
>>28037508
ive got one and love it thinking of picking up a p320
>>
>>28037375
I personally chose the USP over the Sig. It's just felt right and shit better for me.
>>
>>28037787
You know you can get a P226 in .40, then swap it down to 9mm for cheaper practice ammo right? It's literally just a barrel change.

I'm gonna be CCing my P220, I can conceal a P226 somewhat comfortably because I usually wear a wool coat.

Plus with a Sig, .40 mags will fit 9mm in them just fine.

>>28037795
They don't? I figured that was a standard feature. Surprised the hell out of me to read that, to be honest.

>>28037508
I've heard good things but I'm so accustomed to a P-series that it just felt weird to me. Like hugging someone in the wrong skin. But just handle one, if it's nice then use it.

>>28037870
What matters in the end is that you can shoot it well, not that a bunch of /k/ommandos approve it.

The man who can hit a quarter at 50m with his .22 will beat a man with a P226 who can't shoot it for shit almost every time.
>>
>>28037924
Majority of MK25s do not come with threaded barrels, threaded barrel MK25s are actually an entirely separate product on SIg's site.
>>

Not >>28037489, but that long extractor, while ugly, is stronger and easier to repair in case it DOES break. So I'd take it over the old-style.

I know they did, I have pic related. Take it for what it's worth, but when shooting it next to my g19, I really can't tell any difference in the recoil due to the mass and height of the slide. The 320c is my favorite carry gun by far and I can find flaws in it that are much more pressing than "muh boar axes", like that little bit of exposed guide rod for example.

Here >>28044027
got it for a bit less than that.
The grip is fine, the safety is fine, the trigger is fine, the balance is fine, it looks fine.
10mm isn't any more impressive to shoot than 357mag, but there isn't a more powerful semi pistol caliber that is both commonly available and fits in a normal sized grip. So it's fine.
I like it, definitely a keeper, but the P220 doesn't "wow" like the P210, or 10mm like a 44mag.
