"Operators are human too" edition
Why do all operators look damn near identical these days?
It's ALWAYS the same Multicam+Gunfighter helmet+plate carrier+tricked out AR combo.
Is it a case of everyone trying to look cool and hip, or is the aforementioned combo truly the pinnacle of combat gear development?

i think most of pictures are for press release, so yeah
>we have to look cool
>wait i can't wear my used up jeans and my checked shirt ?
>nah i said cool, not hobo
>fuck ok let's go multicam i guess

Nah, here's real reason:
>Americans are widely considered to be the best operators at the moment.
>American gear is easily procurable by western nations.
>American gear is battle-tested.
>American operators often train and advise western SF programs.
>American defense groups routinely bribe western governments to adopt their gear.
>Non-american operators are almost all career bench-warmers who are there to look cool and will never see combat.
If western SF groups saw more combat and had bigger budgets, then you would likely see a lot more variation.

You guys canned Multicam in favour of UCP.
UK takes licensed Multicam and turns it into MTP, all of a sudden, Multicam starts showing up on US troops in Afghan.

Multicam because it works great innafghanistan
Ops core helmet because they're fucking awesome.
Plate carriers because full armor vests with soft armor are good for shrapnel, but heavy and bulky. Gotta go fast breh.
AR because they're lightweight, and have ergonomics that make it great for CQB.
And if you're an ultra-cool guy you can wear your civi clothes.
