Best 308 from kit that's under a grand and is accurate to 1km?

I assume that is just rifle
Despite their reputation, DPMS actually made something nice in the form of the G2
1km is theoretically possible from the rifle. I doubt you are however.

PSA CHF 20" FF, if they ever get them back into stock. CHF's are FN barrels. You'll need the extra velocity boost from the 20" to get to 1km without dropping in.

That's rude, and you have poor syntax.

Or: Generic PSA kit, with a rainier ultramatch 24" barrel. Might be able to squeak it in under a grand.

Thoughts on that vs hk91?

I don't own a PTR. They're nice guns though, from what I hear. A US made PTR should do OK out that far, but the Rainier barrel PSA will beat it in accuracy. PTR's are more rugged though, from my understanding, with a really simple roller-delayed blowback system, opposed to the AR's gas impingement. PTR/HK91 also has a fluted chamber, if that matters to you, though I also hear you can still reload the brass a few times.

I would honestly go with the Rainier barrelled PSA or DPMS. I have a PSA kit that I'm building, though haven't decided which barrel to use (Rainier or PSA) The rainier a better barrel.

What about the FNAR. I've been seriously considering that
Did I make a gun?

HK91s are nice but expensive as hell. I assume you mean the PTRs and such? I think they are slightly a step down from the Germans but still great guns. I've been looking at the FNAR too, I just think it looks kinda ugly

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PSA isn't DPMS compatible. You need a PSA upper, lower, and BCG. other parts *should* be OK though.
