If I wasn't living in the subtropics I'd consider a shoulder holster for concealment.
For OC the only one I don't care for is drop-leg because they inevitably become loose or otherwise get in the way while running.

I still use hip on occasion. Never had to use drop leg
Hip holster just because its easier. shoulder holsters are cool and make you feel like a burnt out detective/hitman which is fun and they do have their advantages (I don't argue draw time, both can be fast if you practice)
Shoulder holsters are just an irdeal. they tangle easily, are more expensive and usually for the good ones you have to assemble it yourself. Plus it takes some getting used to having leather straps on your back. It felt like I had a back pack on all day
Anyone who has ever used a shoulder holster should be euthanized. Or, alternatively, should be thrust in to a self defense scenario where they're quickly killed as they fumble with their stupid tryhard Dirty Harry bullshit.

Shoulder holsters aren't the fastest holsters for drawing, but they are by far the most comfortable and most discreet ones. People will say that their IWB holster is just as comfortable to wear. Well, try wearing one for 48 hours in a row, try sleeping with one, travel for 12 hours with one and tell me how it's comfortable. If my opponent is too close for me to draw, then I beat him up first and then draw my gun - or I simply take cover and draw.
