That's not what heat shields are for. They are to dissipate the heat from the barrel so when looking down the barrel your vision is blurred to hell. If you've ever shot 10+ shots in a row you can see the heat distort your vision.

I am an anon in Germany, and as you might all well know by now, Germany is getting overrun by milions of mudslimes.
The situation is ok now, but I expect moderate rioting in the next 2 years after the economy takes a hit, and welfare is cut from the mudshits.
How can I protect myself, my gf, and our future home?
In the short term, I am carrying either a glass bottle or an aluminium thermos can to at least hit a mudshit if he tries something during the night. Oh I should expand, we live in a town with about 50k inhabitants, 3 blocks from where we live a 'refugee' camp for about 5k mudshits is being built. I expect a decrease in ou rsense of security. On ht eother side of town, a camp already exisst, so the 'refugee' population of our town will easily be >10%.
Anyway, I have also thought about buying a mac-lite flashlight or somekind of defensive torchlight. Defensive weapons as telescopic batons, or pepper spray are not allowed, and if I used one in self-defense I would be under suspicion "why are you carrying guns?". At least with a mac-lite I would have a reasonable defense, its dark out there.
What is a good strat for home defense when you are only allowed to have a handgun locked in a safe, with the ammo locked in a subcompartment of the safe? I guess just train train train and get the ready-time low as possible?. I can imagine fumbling with keys or codes when a mudshit is on your door allahu ackbaring.
Anyway, any advice? any german anons with any experience?

If I did get one, it would not be my primary carry gun, just a range toy/ when I go to the U.P. and have to worry about 4 legged creatures.
