People have no problem with a $1.3k MSRP for a P226 with a tan paint fob and threaded barrel.

92s are great, full size handguns. It's not quite the same level of a gun then a comparable 226, but that's why berettas usually run at a $300-$400 discount to the 226.
>>
Alloy frame? Or Steel brand steel
>>
>>27777877

Probably alloy. Steel is only used on their competition guns and the extra weight would be a drawback in military trials.

Tan, night sights, front sight dovetail, small grip (vertec grip), a decocker instead of a safety (92G), and a threaded barrel.

You could not have all this shit done to a 92 for less that what Beretta is charging, and vertec's if you can find one start around $700. No one bats an eye at a 226 for this much and this gun will go for under MSRP.

This is the 92's final form. If only they would FUCKING MAKE ONE WITH A FRAME SAFETY i would buy one tomorrow.

It was the US military's idea and they still have tooling for frame safeties. They make special editions with frame safeties every once and a while. The billenium for example has a frame safety.

I personally don't give a fuck about the frame safety, I just use it as a decocker and leave it off safe.

Because with a flip-down safety your thumb is closer to if not completely in a correct firing position when you finish the action of taking off the safety. And because flipping up is awkward, especially with the safety mounted high up on the slide instead of on the frame (which is where your thumb should be).
>>
>>27778954

>>27783709

I don't think it should be easier to take off the safety than to put it on. It should be a deliberate push, and I think the only reason it makes sense on the 92 is because it's already harder to get to the safety in the first place.

I don't agree that it's the same motion, and there's still the factor of the height of the safety compared to a frame safety. Look how far your own thumb travels on your 92 compared to your 1911.

I see that you're showing that you push forward, but with a 1911 style safety you are lowering your thumb directly into a firing position while simultaneously taking the safety off, which is better than pushing forward and then resettling your thumb.
>>
>>27783792
This vid was for tards who think the safety actually matters, I don't even use the safety as a safety, I just decock it and flip it off. It's second nature to me. DA/SA guns do not need a safety IMO, I do the same shit with my makarov.

And yeah, it's practically the same motion, if you're holding the pistol with both hands and flip off the safety with your right thumb, your thumb lands in the both thumbs forwards shooting position just like a 1911.

Another thing, if the safety were reversed the safety lever would be pointinting down when you shoot. In my hands that poses an interference with my right thumb, I would have to cross one thumb over the other like I do with my mak instead of both thumbs forward.

The beretta safety is absolutely the correct way for a slide mounted safety.

Well, that I can agree with.
>>
>>27783833
Beretta noob here.

Isn't the firing pin safety deactivated when the safety is off? Does that not mean the gun isn't drop safe?
>>

No, pulling the trigger is the only thing that deactivates it.

>>
>>27778950
Yeah I'm not sure why you'd want that two tone look.

I could understand wanting just the grips or the grips and the barrel a different color, but the barrel and frame one color, the slide another, and the grips a third?

That I do not get. I like tactical paintjobs where the frame and slide are the same color.
>>
>>27781327
Bu...bu...bu... What if my weak little bitch hands that can't deal with the grip circumference have trouble racking the slide like a l33t oper8or and magically engage the safety/decocker... >why does the 90-Two get no love?

Most complaints about it is that the grip feels slippery for some hands. Unlike most 92 styles, the 90-Two doesn't have the wide variety of grip options because the frame is designed for 1 of 2 proprietary grip designs.

Also, the looks are love-or-hate.
