I just have my gun next to me. I don't hide behind the couch when someone knocks on the door. I just ignore it like a normal person unless i am expecting someone.

My dad returned later that night and told me its a hard knock criminals use to double check if a house is empty. I hadn't turned on the light and gone to go check they would have broken in either right then and there or later on in the night with more people. Gotta stay alert and vigilant even when you are in the safety of your home brothers.
